KeymasterSend me the typos and we’ll fix them! Please note the page number. Believe me, we checked and checked, nevertheless they always get through.

KeymasterI finished doing small edits on chapters 1-7 of Phoenix of Megaron. I sent the revised manuscript off to John Mason to get his opinion. We are working together on the book (as we did on Android Planet), putting forth ideas, edits, changes, additions. I typed up some suggestions for larger scale alterations and send it to him. I look forward to seeing his thoughts.
We are both determined to keep the book in line with his father’s intentions, while we also realize that the progenitor of Phoenix of Megaron–Forgotten Rocket–offers alternate plot ideas. And, of course, we are trying to fit the book within the Powysverse. John Mason understands his father’s writing style and can match it very nicely. It’s a great PLUS for these books and an honor to have him onboard!
The cover art is done and awaiting approval. I’ll post when it arrives (assuming they don’t want any changes).

KeymasterYou’re welcome. And spread the word…

KeymasterKen, our miracle worker, has completed the Phoenix of Megaron wrap-around cover. I submitted it today for approval. Meanwhile, work on the manuscript continues.
Mateo Latosa
KeymasterIt can’t be approved until I deliver the full wraparound cover. I just today sent Ken Scott the back cover text. He’s been patiently waiting for me to write it! We’re still working on the manuscript. So there is no rush on the cover.

KeymasterI’ve just sent the back cover text to Ken Scott. Now he can start putting together the full cover (front back spine).

KeymasterThe proof copy arrived today. We’ve noticed a few minor text formatting tweaks that need to be made, but we’re getting closer!
By the way, March? Did someone say, “March”?! O ye of little faith…

KeymasterA small update: the proof copy has been shipped. It’s a cliche, but “Now…we wait.” As soon as it arrives, we’ll check to see it’s all in order. The rest of the steps will happen in a matter of minutes.

KeymasterSyukhtun is cycle of short stories about the alternate Alphans before Omega. The existence of Carter and Regina’s daughter came out of that. It doesn’t negate the book.
Odysseus Wept is still coming out. A Cry in the Wilderness is a novella. To be honest, we’ve just been too busy to do much work on these yet.

KeymasterStep 5 was done weeks ago. We are now on Step 3. We’ve submitted the completed book with ISBN and barcode. Waiting for the proof copy. This could take a week.
Mateo Latosa
KeymasterWell, step 5 is already done! That’s gotta count for something!

KeymasterWe’re on step two! Which means in a day or so, we’ll be on step three!

KeymasterThere is now a Mary’s Monster ordering page, as some of you have already taken advantage of. I have just added the cover image of Mary’s Monster to the Powys Main Page; find it right after the covers of the Prisoner novels. Click on the book-cover image to go to the ordering page.
We’ll sell what we have in stock, but once they’re gone, they’re gone. This original version of the novel will not be reprinted. It is both William Latham’s first published novel and Powys’s first publication as well.
And a damn good read!
😉

KeymasterI haven’t been able to enter it for the last 8 hours or so.
