I remember reading an early review of the US Year 1 release that said there were extras missing from it versus the UK release. Not true?

Yeah, I’m surprised that they’d care whether you distribute your own books digitally or not. I mean, it isn’t like they’re going to distribute them that way, right? Any idea the reason?

My guess is that the contract was created before Kindle, eReaders and Nooks were all the rage, and they were trying to prevent you from creating a video version, or something.

I think it is really worth getting a clarification on that one, mateo. Sci-fi and e-readers are good matches. Recently, my own books seem to be selling more in that medium than printed form. Some writers claim to have made small fortunes that way. Smaller pool of competition, easier to fix errors and you never have to worry about it going out of print. (I realize you get some of those benefits from going the lulu route too…but still…worth looking into.)

    Just my two cents.

BTW…on the topic of websites…did anyone notice that the powysmedia site doesn’t have a title set for the homepage? Explorer shows ‘the page has not set a title’…

Yeah, and you could even put a cool little Facebook icon on your Powys website homepage that will take people right to the Facebook page. Just a thought…

Subspace? Hippies? Viagra?! Holy crap, now there’s a diversion. Got me intrigued now.

So, do the episodes in that Earthbound stick with the traditional continuity, or the hippy one?
I just snatched a copy of Earthbound
Can someone enlighten me…I hear Earthbound and Earthfall mentioned alot. What is the premise of these novels? I know E.C.Tubb wrote them both, and I sense that Earthfall was a reimagining of some sort. Was Earthbound a sequel, or the novelization of the episode by that name, or what?

I read Tubb’s Alien Seed and enjoyed it…
I once asked Mateo if he’d rebooted his computer. He said he’d kicked it again but that didn’t help
Or should I just wing it?
I say just wing it. It seems more natural that way. If you tell me where you post, I’ll be glad to back you up.

    (Selling books is tough!)

Sorry to hear it. Quite a writing career. 130 novels! As an author, I’d be happy with a tenth of that. Clearly the world has lost an active and creative mind.
I’m only writing non-fiction these days.

    Hmmm…wonder what that means?
I’m guessing that means you’re working on a 1999 encyclopedia, or “Making Of…” or something of that nature… B)

Ah, very cool. I had no idea he’d written in the 1999 universe. Looking forward to it!
We had originally planned for Shane Johnson’s story to take the post-Testament spot–and it still may, whether it be before or after these novels, I don’t know.
I missed Shane Johnson’s name in the list at the top of this thread…what is this story?
