Participant
That may necessitate going to a larger book size (roughly the dimensions of Eternity Unbound, the Powysverse Compendium).
As a counterpoint, I would welcome a different book size, especially if it makes the books more readily available and even decreases the price/cost. I’ve always thought the price of the books through lulu, given the size (both length and physical dimensions), was high. Why not use a company like CreateSpace that prints all around the world? Makes perfect sense to me.

ParticipantOrdered! Thanks for the coupon tips, Ultra.

Participant
I’d love it if we could do electronic versions of our novels, but we’re prohibited by contract from doing it.
I think that is a strange prohibition, considering the contract with ITV (or whoever owns the TV rights) was doubtless written before anyone even knew what an eBook was. I mean, unless you’re renewing contracts with them constantly…? It just seems weird to tell a publishing house in today’s day and age that they can’t sell eBooks of their own work. I wonder if that prohibition was really meant to guard against something else?? Might be worth asking.

ParticipantI’d like to second the comments here. I appreciate the work Bill and Mateo (and everyone else involved) have put in over the years. I enjoyed being able to step back into my childhood with every new Powys release. Twas fun while it lasted!
Thanks again.
(I do think you should find a way to publish the books for eReaders. That way they could be kept alive indefinitely.)

If Shepherd Moon on Amazon (US or UK) gets up to ten reviews, perhaps we’ll divulge further information…I’m just sayin’…
I had a review I did of the book awhile ago. Just reposted!

Participant
loving that Sherlock show.
It is a fun show. They have an odd definition of “season” there across-the-pond, though.
(“What? Three episodes?” )

ParticipantYeah, I was hoping for a second Powys novel I hadn’t read so I could double up on my lulu savings, but alas, twas not to be. (Special expired last week.) So I grabbed “Children” and called it a day. Looking forward to it!

ParticipantSo…Lulu has a special on right now. How soon is this book coming? 🙂

ParticipantMerry Christmas to you, as well, Steve.
And to everyone here!

Participant
If it’s a book you want, why not check out Mary’s Monster. It’s a modern take of the Frankenstein story and a very good read. If you like what Mr Latham does with Space:1999 the check out his take on Frankenstein
I agree, Zack. It is a fun read.

ParticipantGot mine too. Thanks, Mateo!

Participant
I should just add that these are just my thoughts & opinions. No offence is intended & hopefully, I’ve not upset Kerry or anyone else by posting what I have.
No offense taken, Steve. I respect your passion and opinion, even if we disagree.
The original Space:1999 was the first sci-fi series I watched on TV. (During those times I could find it on my parents’ small, rabbit-ears for reception, black & white, second TV) It was quite simple the most amazing show I’d ever seen. It was a sad day when I realized it was no longer on the air.
Since then sci-fi has always been something I enjoy. I’ve watched and read lots. Even written a few books in the genre myself.
All that to say, I’m excited and intrigued by what may result from 2099. There is a lot about the original that has never been fully duplicated in another series. I’m curious to see if they can catch fire in the Alpha barrel again. We’ll see…
