ParticipantMateo,
I would also appreciate getting an email about when the book is coming out as July is also a busy month for me a 3day family reunion and then a week long family vacation where I may not have access to a computer. Thanks.June 5, 2010 at 8:18 pm #1016Mateo Latosa
KeymasterWe don’t know yet exactly when we’ll make Year One available for pre-order. We don’t want to do it until the book is nearly ready to go to print.
Last time, with Year Two, we made it available for pre-order too early and a series of delays caused it to be released MUCH later (understatement). Everyone who pre-ordered got a book (except those who asked for refunds–they got refunds).
We hope we’ve earned your trust over the last eight years, BUT we don’t want to take any money from our readers until we have a fairly firm release date in sight.
So we’ll have to ask everyone to continue to be patient while we do the work to get this MASSIVE book finished.
We are going to print as many books as are pre-ordered during the pre-order period, plus a few more for licensing, marketing, promotional and other purposes. True, only the first 100 will be signed and numbered, but NO ONE will miss out on a book (if they pre-order). The pre-order period will be more than adequate in length, though those first 100 will likely go fast. With Year Two, the first 100 sold out in 10 days. That said, we’ve STILL got copies of Year Two available five years later!
We’ll let you know when the pre-order period will start a good month before it does. Right here, on this forum and on the Main Page (no private notifications). The pre-order period will last at least a month as well.
I hope I’ve answered your questions.
