Audubon’s “The Birds of America”? interesting.February 4, 2012 at 6:23 am #2461Scott Lindvall
ParticipantIncredible cover! :woohoo: I was already really looking forward to reading John Kenneth Muir’s newest Space: 1999 novel, as he is such a talented writer and has such a grasp on the characters, but Ken Scott’s cover is truly exceptional, even among all of his really great book covers. How could anyone look at that image and not want to pick it up and learn more? WOW!!! Can’t wait…

ParticipantDear Bill & Mateo (& all the other lovely folks at Powys),
Being a BIG Year 2 fan, I’m sure you’re aware that I am desperate to read this novel. Is there any chance you could give us an update as to where things are at and when we can expect it to be released?
Would be much appreciated.
Vive la COSMOS: 1999! Vive la powysverse! :cheer: (I’ve gone all French…) 😉

ParticipantI agree with slindvall’s assessment on the strength of John Kenneth Muir’s characterization, at least from what I saw in the The Forsaken. That novel was strong in characterization, plot, and theme. My favorite Powys novel so far (though I sadly still have some catch-up), and simply one of my favorite novels overall.
So for those and other reasons, I have definitely been looking forward to his early-Y2 bridging novel :), even more after re-reading the interview for the first time in awhile. I’ll just remain patient.

P.S. I am glad to see this site is back up, too. Merry Christmas!
