KeymasterThe artwork is finished and formatted (pending ITV approval, of course). The audiobook has been recorded, except for the intro and outro bits (this weekend). We will again be licensing the theme music for inclusion on this release.
To think I only came up with the idea to release Spider’s Web in this format last week!
I will post the cover image as soon as I can.

KeymasterWe made a small alteration to the original image. Can anybody catch what it is?

ParticipantHi Mateo,
I just purchased the Resurrection Audio Book and I am thrilled that you are following that one up with an audio recording of William Latham’s “Spider’s Web” – truly one of the best short stories from SHEPHERD MOON !
BTW – It was wonderful to talk to both you and Bill via conference call at the Journey to Where con in Austin.

ParticipantIs it that you’ve taken the glow from the monster’s mouth? That is the only thing that stands out for me.

KeymasterGuess again. 🙂

ParticipantThere does seem to be a dark caricature of some sort in the area of the mouth.

ParticipantYes – a dark area near the bottom, and it looks darker in general in the area behind the body. Much better resolution than the Donruss card, BTW – just what we need: high resolution of a yucky thing.

KeymasterAs Spider’s Web takes place on an alien spacecraft, we removed that number 5 from the upper left side of the door frame, to disguise–just a little–the human markings within the Ultra Probe.

ParticipantAnd I’m usually pretty good about catching those kinds of things.
Looking forward to the release. Any information yet on its length?
I realize it’s a short story.

KeymasterWe’re hoping to release Spider’s Web as a single audio CD. Resurrection would have taken SIX! It just wasn’t economically feasible to do a six disc release, so we went to MP3.

ParticipantThey never worried about trivial little details like that on the show… 😉

KeymasterSure they did, though we tend to focus on the ones they missed. But with only one image for Spider’s Web, I decided to make that little alteration. In know, it’s still clearly the Ultra Probe… 🙂

KeymasterI have just listened to the Spider’s Web audiobook! I received the file today! So what’s the status of the project?
Artwork–done
Recording–doneWe’re going to submit it for approvals tomorrow. Once that happens, we’ll try to make it available ASAP.
Hats off to William Latham and Rupert Booth for a exciting story and an exciting performance, respectively!
