Compendium Update

Can’t promise anything on a release date yet (sorry, wish I could)…but…

1. We’ve got the book in proofreading (as if you all didn’t know)
2. Ken’s at work on the cover.
3. A foreword is in the process of getting commissioned.
4. A copy should be going for approval very soon.
5. I actually have time to write again.
6. Pat’s been SO patient with us and the eternity it took me to format/fact check/do the initial proofread.

Soon as there’s more news, we’ll get it out. Don’t know if we’ll make Christmas but if we don’t, I think we’ll make January (and Mr. Muir’s book should hopefully be hot on its heels).

Absolutely no rush for me on this – I intend to pick it up at Alpha:2012 and then run round and get it signed by everyone! (it will save the postage to the UK anyways!)

However I’ll still pay for a copy when it’s released coz I don’t want it to sell out in the meantime !

Wow! How wonderful & thrilling it must be for Pat to have her work acknowledged and applauded by Martin in this way! To have gotten Zienia Merton to do one of the Forewords is a lovely touch as well.

I’m very much looking forward to buying the finished book 🙂
