I seem to remember I asked that. I must admit that I quite like stories that expand my knowledge of a situation already covered elswhere. The ‘just before’, ‘just after’ or the totally unexpected ‘at the same time but someplace else’ stories really make my day. This is one of the reasons I look forward to the Shepherd Moon type books, I know that they will always have one of these types of stories.
I have also managed to find a sequel to Breakaway and the truly mind blowing “What Lies Beneath” which managed to be all three of the stories I listed earlier.

You will just have to keep posting Steve, you have obviously sent a nudge through the Powysverse… 🙂

Celebrate by watching Breakaway? I take the day off and watch as much of first season as possible… I start at around 6.00am and just keep on going… Mind you, the wine doesn’t start until much later in the day. 🙂

Must see if I can get some Cadbury Breakaway chocolate, nice to celebrate with related products. 😉 😛 😉 😛

Hoiwever you decide to celebrate, have fun and stay safe. No playing with nuclear waste.

Thanks Steve, I have also been in contact with Mateo from time to time and can tell you that he is very busy. Creating music for a TV series must be a wonderful and yet terrible thing to do. On the one hand you are creating something amazingly beautiful (I know I’ve heard some of it) and you are under pressure from the production schedule to have it done in time to go to air.
I know we will get more books, we just have to be patient. I remember way back at the beginning where we got a couple of books and then nothing for a few years. Hopefully we won’t have to wait that long for the next lot of books to arrive.

Keep the faith and remember to celebrate Breakaway Day on Tuesday. I am taking the day off and will be watching Space:1999 Bluray all day. 🙂

I might even don my dancing shoes for a few moments of happy dancing. But I don’t want to be premature. 😛

Told my mum about the return of Millennium and she was very excited. So let’s hope it all goes ahead otherwise I will be in big trouble. 😉

Great new guys. 🙂 I remember Millenuim being a very good show.

If you keep this up how will you have time to get our books out… 😛

    Keep up the good work.

So good to have regular updates again, it was getting a little too quiet around here. 🙂

Now, if we just had a bright shiny new book to read… I could do a happy dance.

Keep up the excellent work Mateo and team.

Thanks for the heads up Bill, I will let my customers know and see if they want any extras.

I want The Whispering Sea now too…. What can we do to organise that? Hire a band of ninjas, or a spy? Do you know of any that will work cheap?

Thanks for the updates Mateo. 🙂 Always good to know that we have something to look forward to. Sometime… 🙁 But I’m not dancing you notice. I think I will have to reserve dancing for truly exciting news – like a shipping notification from Lulu.

Any word on the the Year one omnibus?

Thanks for the link, interesting stuff. That might be an interesting story for a future 1999 novel, finding a rogue planet… Hmmm.

Well, two responses is better than none at all. Here is my take on the question.

I think that the energy source was a life form, it may have been the inhabitant of a star who had discovered a way to travel through space or have been thrown clear of its home in a supernova or some such. Low on energy the energy source found the moon to be a food source. The fusion with Zoref was an accident, but a fortunate one. The energy source discovered new life forms outside of a star. The fusion saved Alpha and the energy source took just one reactor. As Zoref and the being’s wandering continued they might chance upon Paul and Co on Pyxidea and pick its star as a new home, solving the problem of the star’s instability. Awww fairy tale ending… 🙂
