Glenn McCrabbParticipant
I don’t think so, there was no glue on the flap of the postpack at all. A postpack is a padded envelope, it is what the local post office calls them. The book I got today had so much glue that I had to cut the pack open.
Glenn McCrabbParticipantMy books arrived yesterday. Fortunately they were all in the “opened” postpack. 🙁 I am not a happy Zack. I shall be sending Lulu a strongly worded e-mail about this.
Great story BTW, so nice to give some of the characters we heard little of in the TV series some time to shine in this book. Great job Bill, you brought johnny’s lost story to life in a way that he could never have hoped for. The original script would have been wrapped up in 48 minutes but you have spaced the story throughout the Alphan journey giving it a richness and depth that an episode could never have delivered.

Ok, so when’s the next one out?
Glenn McCrabbParticipantAh, finally. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Now I can make a note on my reading copies of the books. 🙂
About time we got some sense of order in this universe. 😛
Glenn McCrabbParticipantWell, aren’t y’all lucky. You’ve got your books, you’ve got your shipping notifications. What about me, no sign of a book yet and… I have never ever received a shipping notification from Lulu for any order I have placed.
But I did get volume 1 of the German Blu-ray 3D version of Space 1999 season 1. No, I don’t have a player, but I felt I needed to have it for the day I do get one. 🙂Glenn McCrabbParticipantOrders placed. Thanks again Powys. 🙂
Glenn McCrabbParticipantAwesome stuff Mateo, can’t wait for a new book to read. I may have to dust off my dancing shoes. 😉
Glenn McCrabbParticipantVery sad news indeed. I remember meeting Gerry when he visited Australia in the 1990s. He was such a nice person, I was able to speak to him (briefly), get an autograph and have my photo taken with him. I remember thanking him for making Space 1999. A highlight of my life.
I will celebrate the life of Gerry Anderson by watching some of his shows. I have Twizzle, Torchy the Battery Boy, Four Feather Falls, Fireball XL-5, Stingray, Thinderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, The Secret Service, Doppelganger, The Protectors, UFO, Space 1999, The Day After Tomorrow, Terrahawks, Space Police, Dick Spanner, Space Precinct, Lavender Castle and New Captain Scarlet in my DVD collection to choose from. I think I can find something to salute Gerry’s life of achievements.
I will also be getting together with some friends on 5th January for a DVD day to celebrate the life of this amazing man.
Thanks Gerry for all those worlds of wonder, those amazing spaceships and fantastic vehicles. But most of all, thanks for firing my young imagination and making me believe that nothing is impossible, it just hasn’t been discovered yet.Glenn McCrabbParticipantIf it’s a book you want, why not check out Mary’s Monster. It’s a modern take of the Frankenstein story and a very good read. If you like what Mr Latham does with Space:1999 the check out his take on Frankenstein. 🙂
Glenn McCrabbParticipantWill wonders never cease. My order went through without a hitch. I will have some happy customers now, new books for Christmas. 🙂
I think it’s time to get out my dancing shoes. With new books on the way from Powys and my Sorella Lamp being delivered today (hopefully) I will have a very Spacey Christmas this year… B)

Thanks again guys.
Glenn McCrabbParticipantThanks for the update Mateo. 🙂
Glenn McCrabbParticipantAny word on a fix for the order button? It would be nice to have some new books for Christmas…
Glenn McCrabbParticipantHey Tex, I checked Martin Willey’s Catacombs site and it only lists two Year 2 Hardcover publications; Planets of Peril and Mind Breaks of Space. If you know of any others you should let Martin know, he likes to be as up to date as possible…
Glenn McCrabbParticipantI have read the introduction and first chapter and it is good to be wandering the halls of Moonbase Alpha once again. 🙂
It might be nice to include the original story in one of the Shepherd collections of 1999 stories. Simply as a matter of historical interest.
Glenn McCrabbParticipantSo far I have tried Google Chrome, Firefox, Windows Explorer at home and an older version of Windows Explorer here at work. None of those are working they all take me to Lulu but tell me that my cart is empty.
I have customers waiting for books guys… So far I only have 1 copy for myself that I got from the Convention hoard. I still need 5 more copies. 🙁I’m sure you’ll get it fixed soon, I hope you will…
Glenn McCrabbParticipantYeah, just for your information. No matter what I try I can’t order from Lulu. 🙁
