That’s the dance I do when I don’t quite know how to feel, the one when I’ve got a book but I know it’s a while yet til the next one and I’m all confused: do I read this one slower to make it last or power through it and then get all angry… See what you are doing to me. :laugh:
I agree completely Steve, for one who has come to Space 1999 verrrry late Bill’s writing is amazing. :ohmy: He has captured the feel of the original series and has the characters spot on. :cheer: He should be writing more, perhaps we could clone him several times over and have 6 or 7 on the go at the one time. That way he could (almost) keep up with our cravings for more 1999 novels. :laugh:
A huge “Zoop-Zoop-Wheeeee” is what’s called for here. (Which is downunder fannish for Hip-Hip-Hooray) 😉

The other problem with chat is that when I am ready for a bit of a chat it is the middle of the night everywhere else and eeryone’s asleep. 🙁

I always forgive these little mistakes in 1999 episodes and books.
The episodes were written and rewritten so fast, so many fingers in the pie. The books have to match the dodgy science that “too many cooks” spoiled.
Having lived through metric conversion in the 70s I have no problem with either system and don’t even notice the change from one to the other.
I would like the books to be perfect in every way but then we would have nothing to nit-pick at, and the forum would be a boring place. 🙂The only problem with the chat is that now the forum seems to have gone quiet… Early days I suppose.

Let’s hope it doesn’t follow the history of the original series or we will be sorely disappointed. Year 2 was not bigger, definitely not better and in no way more exciting than ever.
You could add friends on FaceBook and use their chat facilities. Just go through the list of Powys friends and add the ones you would like to chat with…
I sometimes find that I have to search several e-bays before I can find what I want. UK. US and AUS will sometimes list only local items. Try using the advanced search function and select “items available to…” as one of the search parameters. That seems to clear up the search most times.

It could just be a peculiar aberration of the Pelorus atmosphere… It is pretty weird if you remember from the original book.
