NICE, Mateo!

Now if we can convince them to do the whole thing as a motion-comic, we can hear more of that AMAZING music of yours.

Tex
(it is a dream I have)

in reply to: Phoenix of Megaron–NOW AVAILABLE! Order away! #2769

Ordered.

Took me less than 10 seconds to get it, but I already had a Paypal account so that might have had something to do with it.

Looking forward to getting the Phoenix! This makes my 3rd copy (so to speak)–the first one, from back when it originally came out, got eaten by Katrina, while #2 is now part of my Gerry Anderson Library Version 2.0.

Tex
(copy #3 will look reeeeeeal NICE sitting next to the Pocket Books original)
I agree. I’d love to see English editions of those German books.
Same here. Like the Charlton comics and the British annuals, the German books are windows into lost worlds.

Tex
(I’d pay serious money to have them sitting on my Gerry Anderson shelf)

in reply to: OT : Space 1999 comics rumours #2665

I wish they’d just reprint the originals without dinking with them.

Tex
(but pre-ordered anyway)

C’mon, Mateo! Do some music I DON’T like, just to shake things up. After all, you could always go Disco!

Nope, I can’t say that with a straight face.

Tex
(keep it up, man!)

in reply to: Millennium Apocalypse score wins LAWebFest award #2636

AWRIGHT!! Way to go, Mateo!

Next thing you know, he’ll be on MTV and kids will be wearing TKU t-shirts everywhere.

Tex
(and to think I’ve had two, yes TWO phone calls from the man)
Interestingly, Pat’s book also includes references to works not-yet-published. I wonder if anyone caught any of these? :-)
SHHHH!

You’ll get them all riled up and wanting a new Space:1999 book a month! Then you’ll have to change your name to Mateo Kenyon Engel.

Tex
(and change the name of the company to Powys Creations Inc.)

in reply to: Site Updates #2595

It’s a Firefox glitch. I use Chrome now, and don’t have the problem with the site anymore.

Tex
(who only keeps Firefox around for Download Helper and image grabbing)

in reply to: The Powysverse Compendium Now Available! #2554

I’m on Chrome, and had no trouble getting my order in. I also have a permanent Lulu account, so there was no trouble with my card.

Oh, and discount code RETAILMENOT25 works.

Tex
(wishing there was the option of ordering it in hardback)

in reply to: Video Link for TKU single “Praising Trees” #2537

I hit the “Like” button (I’m the 2nd one,) and I’ve subscribed to your channel.

Y’all out there in the Powysverse do the same, ya hear?

Tex
(post MOAR videos, please!)

in reply to: Video Link for TKU single “Praising Trees” #2531

Now THIS is what I call music!

Listening to TKU, I have no problems with you doing things of a non-Powys nature.

Tex
(hmmm, maybe TKU should do a soundtrack for a Powys short story or novel)

in reply to: Almost There on Compendium #2499

And now, right here on our shoo, we bring to you ZACK, and his world famous Happy Dance.

Take it away, Zack!

Tex
(then, the entire female population of Moonbase Alpha will run out on stage and shout out their brassier sizes)
I know it doesn’t seem like it, but even 2011 had 5 releases. Granted, everyone here wants Space: 1999 stuff, but that’s not all we do. We’ve got a number of Space: 1999 books coming out this year, though.

Musically, Cesar and I (under our own names or as TKU) released a sampler, got an agent, got hired to do the soundtrack for Millennium Apocalypse: The Dark Inside You, and in the last five weeks, we’ve released a score CD, a single, and a full album. AND we will be releasing a new CD and a DVD (of videos) with London photographer Vanessa Champion in a few months.

Not to mention, four books of photography with Rachel McFarlane, Ryan Pham, and Vanessa Champion.

And in late 2012, we’ll be scoring the new web-series by John Kenneth Muir!

And so what are you going to do with the other hand?

Tex
(with thanks to Kerr Avon)
