And then Bill looked up from proofreading the final proof of Whispering Sea and said to himself….hmmm, I’d better not even mention that “Eternity Unhinged” thing I’ve been writing…
“Eternity Unhinged”!
Honestly Bill… you’re such a tease! 😉
But at least you’re teasing. Those months of silence a while back were really worrying. So happy that things are happening in the Powysverse once again B)
Steve FosterParticipantI would like it to be reprinted (I too own a copy of the original book, which I really enjoyed reading) but as others have said, in paperback size in line with all the other novels which then leaves Pat’s Compendium as the stand out reference guide.
Personally, I’d like you to reprint “Chasing the Cyclops” the same size as the Compendium as those tiny diagrams and flow charts are very difficult to read in the current small font size.

Steve FosterParticipant
Hmmmmm…let’s see if lulu gets it right the first time…we’re down to weeks (perhaps days)…
Sounds like it’ll be time to energise the defence shields and launch all Eagles! Woohoo! Bring it on! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Steve FosterParticipantBring on SPACE: 1999 – The Whispering Thingamajig!
I’m SO excited! :cheer:
Steve FosterParticipantThanks for the updates and for all your hard work rebuilding the site Bill. Great to see it up and running again (I rather like the new look to be honest).
Looking forward to future SPACE: 1999 releases as always 🙂
Thanks for the update Mateo. Sorry to hear of your troubles, I hope your son is well again soon.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Best wishes.
Steve FosterParticipantThank you very much for the update John. Much appreciated 🙂

Steve FosterParticipantGlad to see the website back up again 🙂
Steve FosterParticipantDear Bill & Mateo (& all the other lovely folks at Powys),
Being a BIG Year 2 fan, I’m sure you’re aware that I am desperate to read this novel. Is there any chance you could give us an update as to where things are at and when we can expect it to be released?
Would be much appreciated.
Vive la COSMOS: 1999! Vive la powysverse! :cheer: (I’ve gone all French…) 😉
We’ve got two books waiting for their forewords and one book waiting for final edit — we know you’re chomping at the bit but we’re waiting on stuff, too!
Wonderful news! I’m guessing that the former two are…
The Original Self & The Whispering Sea
… and that the latter one is…
Black Doves.
Am I right? & if I am, do I get one of David Kano’s Cookies? 😉
Thank you so much for the update BL.
Steve FosterParticipantI was very dissapointed when I discovered that this element of the plot had been dropped. It added a creepy level of horror to Sandra’s predicament & the bitch slap she gave Cellini was so delicious. I was genuinely surprised it got cut!
That aside though, I enjoyed the book immensely. Lots of clever winks and nods in it (Victor entering Command Centre for the first time and the Children waiting there – a clever nod to the original Year 2 origins of Johnny’s script).
Looking forward to the next couple of releases now though.
“The Whispering Sea” is the one I’m most desperate to read although I have to admit to being quite intrigued by “Black Doves”.
Viva Powys Media! B)
Steve FosterParticipantI must admit… the silence is growing a trifle deafening… 🙁
“The Whispering Sea” (Year 2), “The Original Self” (Year 1) & “Black Doves” (Year 3?) were all due out by the end of April.
Can we have an update on revised release dates for these please?
Steve FosterParticipantYou might find this sight interesting Zack…

Obviously, this detailed analysis doesn’t take into account anything that happens in the Powys novels, but it’s still really useful (I think Analysis 4a is probably more accurate than any of the others!) 😉
Steve FosterParticipantTHEY’RE HERE! My books are here! They arrived a short time ago! :woohoo:
Can’t wait to get home so that I can start reading “Children of the Gods”!
As Barbara Bain herself once said… “Come with us… to Moonbase Alpha…” 😉
