Lovely to hear from you Mateo 🙂

I came across a comment on a thread somewhere that said that the YEAR 1 Omnibus project had been abandoned by Powys as you had lost the rights to re-print/publish the novels.

Your post would seem to confirm that this is not the case and that the project is still going ahead B)

Sorry to hear that things have been hectic/difficult outside of the Powys side of things & that this has kept you away from updating us all on the Forum (we miss you!). Hoping things look up for you & that 2015 holds good things in store for you and your family.

Great to hear. So glad you’re continuing to work on this Bill 🙂

My guess about ”The Final Revolution” is that this is the story that tells of the events that led to ”Message from Moonbase Alpha” & shows us the Alphan’s Exodus to Terra Alpha (putting everything in place ready for Johnny Byrne’s continuation proposal to be bought to life in print, rather than onscreen). If I’m wrong… I’m wrong, but if I’m right… then this will be a tremendously powerful and involving SPACE: 1999 novel for all of us to enjoy reading B)

Any news on this particular release?

Last I heard, this was Mateo’s baby and that he was working on it. We’ve not heard anything from Mateo on the Forum for months. Be nice to hear from him and to get an update on where work is at on this long anticipated release 🙂

From what I’ve been able to find out online, the book is finished and is in the hands of the publisher.

Thought I’d “bump” this Thread up in the hope that Bill & the folks at Powys will update us as to where things are at with this particular SPACE: 1999 novel.

Any further update on how you’re progressing with ”The Final Revolution” Bill? Do you still hope to release this before the end of the year or do you think we’re looking at a 2015 release at the earliest?

Thanks one and all. Avatar and Profile updated! (Invisible buttons eh? There’re still Mysterious Unknown Forces at work in the Powysverse!) 😉

    At last! Some news! 🙂

I must admit, I only check the website once or twice a month now, rarely expecting there to be any news or anything. But that doesn’t stop me checking… 😉

Excited about “The Final Revolution”. A new Bill Latham SPACE: 1999 novel in the works is always something to get excited about… dissapointed that there’s no news re: “Black Doves” though. Intrigued about this one as it’s written by a woman &, like Pat Sokol’s Powysverse Compendium proved, a woman’s take on the characters and situations presented in both the filmed and written world of SPACE: 1999 can be just as fascinating and eye opening as the males (if not more so!).

SO grateful for the update. Thanks Bill

Are you able to give us any kind of update regarding this book yet Bill? I’m anxious to hear something.
It will be interesting to revisit this thread a year from now…
Oh Bill… you’re such a tease! 😉

Do you know… reading back through this thread this evening, I’m genuinely impressed by what I wrote. I was clearly very passionate about the SPACE: 1999 Powysverse back then & wrote some pretty decent Posts. The nice thing now, is that although I rarely Post anything on here these days, I’m still just as passionate about these books and where our beloved Alphans are going in them 🙂 so I’m just gonna sit here patiently and await some news about future books.

“Black Doves” is next hopefully, and then Mr Latham’s “Final Revolution” will take flight and after that we’ll have “Prodigal Moon” (please get John Kenneth Muir to write a new Short Story or two for this! He’s just so good!), Odysseus Wept and then many more I hope

    Long live the Powysverse! B)
We’re in final proof copy territory — hopefully it’ll be really soon, within the next week.

You folks are in for SUCH a treat with this book. I very seldom get to read any of our books “cold” — without knowing what’s in there beforehand — but that was the case this time and I’m still buzzing.

Keep your eyes peeled next week…

WOOHOO! The Year 2 fan in me is celebrating already! So close now… can’t wait! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Well, not for nothin’, if it did include something called “Eternity Unhinged” (no promises) the new edition would be different from the old one, which would still make the old one limited, right? Different size, different content, different animal.
I’m REALLY liking the sound of this Bill! B)
