Bill contributed the dialogue to that story. As I had originally written it, it only had two lines of dialogue. Koenig, overcome with emotion, and at a loss to express his guilt over Victor’s death, says, “Victor, I…” and bows his head, unable to say another word. Victor comforts him, saying only, “I know, John. I know.”

Bill thought such a momentous occasion needed to have the unspoken thoughts…spoken. And we altered the story to include a dialogue between the two men.
Wow! Sounds like a wonderful & moving addition to the story. Still no sign of the Year 2 Omnibus on E-Bay (either it’s not on there yet, or I just can’t see the thing for looking! Haha!)

But I’ve found a photo (from one of your previous auctions) of the item concerned. It looks VERY nice indeed!

    Cool! 🙂

Well… I’ve looked. But it’s not there yet. Will keep an eye out. I may throw ALL caution to the wind and just buy the damn thing. It’s the linking material and the new stuff in the book that intrigues me such as…

    SPOILER ALERT!

Bill Latham’s addition to “The Lambda Factor”, whch sees Victor appear to Koenig, who I think, has gone to the empty ruins of Main Mission to try and get some sleep. As you know, anything written by Mr Latham is MUST HAVE reading IMHO, hence why I’m more and more inclined to buy the Year 2 Omnibus 😉

    Stuff request:

Coasters with the Powys P on it. I can then buy a few to put wine glasses & (typically British) cups of tea on 😉 🙂
We have an eBay newsletter?????
Haha! Yes indeedy. Now I need never miss a Powys Media auction on E-Bay! B)

Btw, Mateo, we’re online at the same time. Me in the UK and you in the US. How cool is that? 🙂

Very unusual what with the time difference and all that. What time is it where you are? It’s 7:11pm here in the UK.

I’m going to hijack this thread very briefly just to say, from one SPACE: 1999 fan to another: “Hello there!” <starts waving out the window in the general direction of the US… he hopes!) Haha! 😆 :silly: 🙂

I doubt it 😉 but Ultra has saved the day. I’ve subscribed to your E-Bay newsletter so hopefully, if another auction comes up, and I’m in a position to bid (financially, that is!), I will do 🙂
I would say the easiest way to find these is to search by seller – powysmedia
searching “By seller” is an ‘advanced’ search.
and then use the option to ‘Save search’
by saving the search, ebay will automatically send you an email any time a new item is listed by powysmedia, and give you direct links to each item in the email.
Great suggestion Ultra. Thanks very much. Have done this. problem solved B)

    Mateo,

When you do an auction on E-Bay, can you post a Link to it? I can never find these auctions when I search for them on E-Bay even if I put Worldwide, Powys, SPACE: 1999, Year 2, the book name etc. etc.

    Would be helpful

It’s a tad frustrating tbh, as I was serously considering buying a (cheaper) copy of the Year 2 Omnibus (the full priced version is just way beyond my financial means, cost-wise 🙁

Mateo, I’ve a question re: the reprint of this particular book.

I bought “Eternity Unbound” when it was released. Is the version of “Resurrection” that you’re planning to re-release, the slighly revised/expanded version that was included as part of “Eternity Unbound” or the original version of “Resurrection” as originally released?

& on the same subject, when you say you’re planing to release “Eternity Unbound” as a stand alone novel (I’m sure I’ve read that on a post somewhere…), does that mean, minus BL’s “End of Eternity” novelisation (which I’m sure I’d read somewhere was going to be included in the Year 1 Omnibus) & “Resurrection”?

(Just an aside. I remember when I first received my copy of the original. I read it in one night. I started reading it at about 7pm UK time… and finshed at about 2 or 3am in the morning. I was VERY tired when I got up for work the next day… but it was worth it. It was a THRILLING, unnerving read imho. It wasn’t easy to go to sleep after I’d finished it that’s for sure!) B)

Sure you can. Not sure how you’d describe me though…

“Steve Foster, England, UK – SPACE: 1999 Fan that nobody’s ever heard of.” perhaps?

Stunning! UTTERLY stunning! Thank you Mateo & Batman in the alley! 😉

(for those who don’t get the Batman in the Alley reference – buy “Chasing the Cyclops”)

Patience dear Zackary… patience! 😉

Must admit… I’m eager to return once again to Moonbase Alpha (in literary form at least!) and read something new about the lives/past hiostories of our favourite characters.

What number have you reached today Mateo..? & with the cover having been approved, is there any chance of seeing it? I don’t do Facebook… that being the case, it’d be nice to be able to at least see the cover… it can only add to the sense of anticipation tbh B)
