Yay!! Ordered it immediately. And the Lulu discount code worked great, letting me get it for $15 instead of $20. :woohoo:

Yay!!! I can hardly wait. I really liked JKM’s previous Powys novel, so I have little doubt I’ll be blown away by this.

    Zack, I hope you’re dusting off your shoes… 😉

I agree with those folks who have already replied. If you DO reprint the book, it would be nice to get another copy as a regular sized paperback instead of an oversized book like the original and Pat’s Compendium (although I like those 2 books, they stand out as special). That way, it would fit in nicely with the rest of the regular series.

Not to be a nag, but any news on when we might see new Space: 1999 novels rolling off of the Lulu presses?

I’ve been really busy at work of late, so this is my first look at the new site. Very nice job, Bill, and to everyone else involved. Thanks!. I was seriously missing visiting the prior site. Hopefully, we’ll get a little more activity on the discussion boards. (And maybe — hopefully — a new book or two to discuss? Hint, hint…)

Anyway, best wishes to all of my Powys Space friends for a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and joyous holiday season.

    Ahhh, memories!!! 😉
I wish I could make it again, Bill, but unfortunately it’s not in the cards this year. Hopefully I’ll make it back to NY (or parts thereabout) before too long. But to anyone else who can make it, it was really cool last year. Go if you can.

Sad news indeed, but what a legacy he left behind… dozens of novels and short stories. He will be remembered, and his works enjoyed, for many, many years to come.

Thank you, John, for sharing the news. My condolences to you and your family.

So “Odysseus Wept” takes place after “Message from Moonbase Alpha.” Interesting…. I did not know you had plans for after MfMA. While I look forward to ALL of the Powys novels, I am now even more intrigued by “Odysseus Wept.”

By the way, I started “Johnny Byrne’s Children of the Gods” last night and I’m nearly finished. So far, I love it. William Latham’s writing keeps getting better and better.
IUnfortunately, once I posted the review, the website addresses were blanked out (hence the […] above) & then I noticed 2 typos! (which I’ve corrected when posting the review here!) ;)
Hey, Steve, great review!!!! But, yeah, Amazon is weird about letting people put in other website addresses. If you want to take the time to edit your Amazon review, you can get around the rule by spacing out the web address or spelling out the dotcom at the end. You can also fix your typos while you’re at it. But your review is a great way to get the word out and help support our friends at Powys Media. B)

Ordered!! While I was at it, I ordered another copy of Phoenix of Megaron. I got one of the convention copies, but figured I’d like one of the corrected copies as well. Thanks, one and all, at Powys Media. B)

Seems to be working. I already have my convention copy that Mateo mailed out, but many others will be thrilled.

Bill, glad you survived Sandy’s wrath. I’ve accounted for everyone I care about in that part of the country, and everyone seems more or less okay. Living in Florida, I’ve been through a couple of hurricanes myself, but Sandy seemed particularly vicious for a fairly weak storm. I work in insurance and the damage is quite widespread.

Thanks for working so hard on the Lulu problem.

Hey Bill, I already got my copy of “Phoenix of Megaron” from Mateo, but figured I would try the link for you to see if it’s working. For me, at least, it is not. I have the latest version of Internet Explorer, and the link took me to a Lulu page that said my cart is empty. Seems there’s still a gremlin (or Maya in gremlin form) in the works.
