…I know how you feel

probems with ‘chat’ as I see them :

    number 1 – there’s no-one to play with when I’m out to play πŸ™

number 2 – it should have a health warning as it can easily become addictive – (now you all know how I voted) πŸ™‚

number 3 – only a proper, fully fledged and bona fide member should be able to ‘chat’ πŸ˜› meaning ‘guests’ should be NOT be allowed to ‘chat’ – me thinks ( no…me knows ) some of you are being sneaky πŸ˜‰

number 4 – MOST IMPORTANT I THINK – we need to keep Mateo and BL and everyone else involved with bringing us new sp1999 books…doing just that – working on bringing us new books – we don’t want them distracted with ‘chat’ rooms :side:

…now I’m going to log off the powys website and get back to work and try and resist the urge to log back on – well at least for the next hour or so…think I might need some sort of ‘patch’ πŸ˜†

Ultra – great observations – you obviously know what you’re talking about πŸ™‚

    Ultra wrote:
(Mateo – if you need technical QA of any of the upcoming novels, let me know, I’d be happy to vet them)
Mateo – if I were you I’d bite his hand off πŸ˜† seriously – how many rocket scientists do you have offering you the benefit of their vast knowledge.

    ————————————-

When I first read it ( nearly a year ago now ) I thoroughly enjoyed BfA. I know nothing about velocity or the ins and outs of flying an Eagle etc etc, so Ultras quibbles would… and did go straight over my head.

    And
the continual swapping between English and Metric units
didn’t bother me either, here in the UK its normal !!
The characterizations were really solid as well. For the most part I could hear the actors saying the words as written.
…and for me that’s what it’s all about – the characterisation – so many sp1999 writers ( professional or amateur ) overlook key points of nuance and subtlety in their characterisation, which then have a major impact on the whole essence of their work. In my opinion sp1999 ( year one more so than year 2 ) was so much about the characters and the way they, the Alphans, adapted to their situation. BfA, just like Resurrection left me satisfied that the writers understood the characters, their predicament and the ‘new world’ they found themselves inhabiting.

BfA as a new sp1999 publication…made me very happy – so all you’ll hear from me is wild applause…and a cry of β€˜encore’…

I think Zack sums it up perfectly…
I always forgive these little mistakes in 1999 episodes and books…
I would like the books to be perfect in every way but then we would have nothing to nit-pick at, and the forum would be a boring place.
The coaster looks great – It’s on the US site but I can’t get it on the UK site.

Is there a reason for this or is it just a bored Muf messing things up for fun ?

does anyone else think it would be great to have a ‘chat’ facility on the forum…?

now before panic sets in…I know you’re not clued up on such matters Mateo…you did have to be dragged kicking and screaming onto facebook πŸ˜† BUT couldn’t we get it done.

Like Steve says…we’re all spread out all over the vastness of the powysverse.

I think it would be good to get to know each other a bit and be able to have a realtime ‘conversation’ with each other but maybe you guys HATE the idea
