Funny line. but I am not the one making all this happen. The authors and in particular William Latham have been doing the hard work. But I am happy that the last three weeks of vacation have been productive ones for me.

I’ve got one chapter and an epilogue to go on The Whispering Sea. Phoenix is 99% done. The Powysverse Compendium is also 99% done.

Also, behind the scenes, The Forsaken is being readied for re-release, as is Android Planet (typo fixes).

THANKS for all your patience!! B)

“Witty” is an understatement. There are passages in The Powysverse Compendium that had me laughing out loud (in very inappropriate moments at coffee shops all over L.A.).

I know it doesn’t seem like it, but even 2011 had 5 releases. Granted, everyone here wants Space: 1999 stuff, but that’s not all we do. We’ve got a number of Space: 1999 books coming out this year, though.

Musically, Cesar and I (under our own names or as TKU) released a sampler, got an agent, got hired to do the soundtrack for Millennium Apocalypse: The Dark Inside You, and in the last five weeks, we’ve released a score CD, a single, and a full album. AND we will be releasing a new CD and a DVD (of videos) with London photographer Vanessa Champion in a few months.

Not to mention, four books of photography with Rachel McFarlane, Ryan Pham, and Vanessa Champion.

And in late 2012, we’ll be scoring the new web-series by John Kenneth Muir!

And as ANYBODY who’s been on this site knows, all delays are due to me–seriously, I am terrible about getting things done in a timely fashion.

    D’oh!

I also added the cover image from our single, “India”.

    [Done!]

Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. And thanks for the heads up. I fixed the dates.

Be patient, dear friends. Save up that energy for an extended happy dance!

I got a final version (barring typo fixes) of Phoenix of Megaron today! And I have proofread the final draft of The Whispering Sea up to the final chapter.

    Here’s a small update.

The Powysverse Compendium: The manuscript is finished, proofread, and edited. We just need to get an approval, a foreword, and a finalized and approved cover. Then, once it’s formatted to Lulu’s specs…

Phoenix of Megaron: The manuscript is finished, proofread and edited. We just need to get a final approval from John Mason, his foreword, and a finalized and approved cover. Then, once it’s formatted to Lulu’s specs…

The Whispering Sea: I am about 60% done with the final proofread/edit of the much expanded novel (since the first draft). We just need to get an approval, a foreword, and a cover (with approval as well). Then, once it’s formatted to Lulu’s specs…

The Forsaken: The manuscript has been slightly re-edited (for typos and a couple of continuity fixes) and just needs to be formatted to Lulu’s specs and have it’s cover resized to Lulu’s specs.

Android Planet: I am going to be fixing the remaining typos this week (a few people sent me lists, but the latest list may not contain any new typos). Then the manuscript needs to be formatted and re-uploaded to Lulu.

    Space: 1999
    The Powysverse Compendium
    by Patricia Sokol

Forewords by Zienia Merton and Martin Willey

“The Powysverse Compendium is the definitive reference to the books, the
place to look up characters and ideas from the Space: 1999 television
series and books. But it is also a witty and imaginative analysis of the
elements of the Space: 1999 universe.”

    –Martin Willey, from his Foreword.

Pat is spinning like a top. Nobody curious as to why? Let’s just say, she’s got her face in a book. Anyone who’d like to be in on the good news should put their face in a book too (so to speak). 🙂

With the help of Bill and Pat, I have the whole omnibus in a single file. All six books. Any delay in getting it out is entirely my fault. I have not made the time to get down to editing it. Like most BIG projects it always seems daunting and the tendency is to put it off until a time when there will be time to do it. Those times never come. Extended vacations get taken up with other matter. I had three weeks off in August/September and had hoped to get to it. Those three weeks were taken up with scoring Millennium Apocalypse.

I know that what I have to do is just take it one episode at a time. Small manageable bites. After all there are only 24 episodes to do and most will require minimal changes.

So, my apologies to everyone for making you wait.

Too bad there is no award for us to win. I don’t believe that film scores have an award catagory. Nevertheless, we wish the film/series the best of luck.

The Whispering Sea (singular), which tells you something about the planet it takes place on. A unique setting for a Space: 1999 novel.
