I’ve put Mary’s Monster up for sale on THIS SITE. No need to go to eBay. I’ve included three Paypal buttons for those of you in the U.S., Canada and Outside of North America, respectively.

To find the page, just go to the MAIN MENU, click on Space: 1999 Books, and look to the main index of articles on the right. The topmost article is Mary’s Monster. Click on it and you will be taken to the Mary’s Monster ordering page. There you will find the cover image, the back cover text, and the three Paypal buttons.

You’re in for a treat. Only 200 of these books were ever printed, less than half remain in stock. Get ’em while they last!

That’s something you’d have to discuss with Mr. Latham himself. Powys doesn’t have the license to market William Latham merchandise!

What surprises me is how often I put Mr. Latham’s first novel, Mary’s Monster, up on eBay and no one buys it (despite being a from a limited first–and so far only–edition of 200). I hope that people will branch out beyond Space: 1999 and follow William Latham as an author.

He has a lot of interesting stories to tell OUTSIDE of the Alphan universe. Even outside of the science fiction genre.

If people are interested, we’ll put up a page on the site, or put some copies on eBay. The printing is not the same quality as our later books–it was our first book! But the story kicks ass!

I always told Bill that one day I’d be able to stand at the back of the room and name-drop, “Ya know, I know the author.” 😛

Earlier, I listed the final steps to getting Android Planet published. They were:

    1. The book is being formatted to Lulu’s specs.
    2. Once submitted, an ISBN number and barcode will be issued. These will be incorporated into and onto the book.
    3. Then it will be re-submitted, and a proof copy will be sent to us. We’ll check to see, all the chapters start on the right pages, etc.
    4. If so, we log on, and choose “publish”.
    5. Then we build a page for the book on the site.
    6. Finally, we post a button on that page, and a message on the forum.

Of course, there are always lots of intermediate steps that crop up. For example, will there be a dedication? To whom?

    Where are we now?

Still on Step 1. However, now the book has been formatted (and we have the dedication), except for the copyright page and the dedication page and a minor formatting change.

Meanwhile work continues on Phoenix of Megaron.

Did somebody say they wanted coasters? They are now up on our zazzle panel. I think they look snazzy!

I don’t have a Kindle (yet), but I do have “Kindle for PC” which allows you to buy e-books via Amazon using Kindle software–and the software download is FREE!

Penguin is publishing the Sarah Jane Adventures novelizations–now EXCLUSIVELY as e-books. Being a Doctor Who fan (and a completist–yes, I have every fiction Doctor Who book and audio EVER PUBLISHED, up to 2010 (I’m still catching up)–so when they went e-book only, I had to either buy a Kindle or go without. Then I found you could download the software for free and have the books on your PC instead of a Kindle unit.

    Sweet!

Bill contributed the dialogue to that story. As I had originally written it, it only had two lines of dialogue. Koenig, overcome with emotion, and at a loss to express his guilt over Victor’s death, says, “Victor, I…” and bows his head, unable to say another word. Victor comforts him, saying only, “I know, John. I know.”

Bill thought such a momentous occasion needed to have the unspoken thoughts…spoken. And we altered the story to include a dialogue between the two men.
