The TKU/Tecamachalco Underground 2011 Sampler is NOW available for purchase via iTunes!! Just go to the iTunes Store and seach for TKU! The album can be purchased for $9.99 or individual tracks for .99 cents each (14 tracks total).
Mateo LatosaKeymasterYou can listen to the entire album on the Powys Media site (at the top of the Main Page). All 14 tracks are available.
And a second release, the full-length version of “India” (31min, 31sec), will be released as a single in early May. Also in May, TKU will be phasing out the Sampler and a formal first album release, Innocence, will be released (track listing TBD).

Mateo LatosaKeymasterHow’s this? TKU’s Sampler 2011 will be available for download on iTunes in about three days! Just look for:
Band: TKU
Album: Tecamachalco Underground Sampler 2011Btw, not just iTunes. Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon.com (a few weeks later), and a few other online music retailers!
Mateo LatosaKeymasterTechnically, this is a promotional CD, released in advance of our first commercial release. We are giving them away to record labels, directors, theater groups, galleries, etc.
The commercial release, entitled ‘Innocence’ will feature many of the same tracks and will be released a few weeks later. Also in the works is a promotional video to be directed by Rupert Booth of Wildeyes.tv featuring the first track off the album, Marshland Trance. When it’s ready, we’ll post it up on Youtube.
Mateo LatosaKeymasterPhoenix was put on hold for a few weeks as I was occupied with other matters, some Powys-related, others being family matters. As well, Tecamachalco Underground (TKU) has been asked for a demo CD from an independent music label in the UK. This is a big thing for TKU, and for me personally. We’ve been designing the CD inserts and selecting the music to be included.
In addition, one of our newest pieces was picked up for inclusion in a series of art exhibitions in the UK scheduled for this fall.
Mateo LatosaKeymasterAnd the Alphans being chased along a corridor, back and forth from room to room, by the Beta Cloud creature!
Yay, Bill!
Mateo LatosaKeymasterPat’s emoticons made me think of those cartoon shows in the 70s where suddenly there’d be a music video with everybody including the dog playing instruments or singing. So if Space: 1999 had decided to do that in Year Two (coz without Maya, what fun would it be)…who’d be doing what?
Helena and Maya as rival lead vocalists!
This is silly but hey! Oh and “Yay, Bill!” (all posts on this thread must end with that!) 😛
Mateo LatosaKeymasterI thought he just deserved a “Yay”. No reason.

Still waiting to hear back from Starlog.
HILARIOUS!
Mateo LatosaKeymasterExcept that no one else noticed it!
Mateo LatosaKeymasterThat’s nice of you to say. But not likely. Our myspace page has 5 songs up. I listed the URL in one of the first posts of this thread. FYI, I’ll be performing “For Cesar” live tomorrow (one of the song on myspace).
On another note. I’ve been silent the last couple of weeks, busy taking care of some family matters. I haven’t had time to finish my part of the edit of Phoenix yet.
Mateo LatosaKeymasterThanks for the well wishes! You can listen to our music FREE at myspace
Mateo LatosaKeymasterPeeking ahead will spoil the fun! But I am glad you liked what you saw. A few typos and errors made their way into the monster-sized manuscript, but it was inevitable, wasn’t it.
I think you’ll really enjoy One Moment of Humanity and Catacombs of the Moon–we had to make some carefully planned revisions. Catacombs, I think, works very well now and I am proud of what we did with it.
Mateo LatosaKeymasterEnjoy the books!
