Count me in. Looking forward to it!Michael SchwartzParticipant:cheer:
No problem on Lulu with Firefox, a Lulu account, and Paypal. Discount code RETAILMENOT25 worked fine.
Really been looking forward to this!

Michael SchwartzParticipantWhat if you vote twice, but select something different on the second vote?
I was going to vote for Commissioner Simmonds and Frau Blucher. I think they would make a great couple.
:silly:
Michael SchwartzParticipantFEBREADS for 20% off is still good; one of the discount coupon sites says it’s good until 2/28. I just used it to order Android Planet and Chasing the Cyclops :cheer:
Michael SchwartzParticipantiTunes does all of the sorting on the basis of the file metadata, not the filenames. To get the audiobook in the right order, I had to scrub out all of the files’ metadata, re-enter them, and rename the files. Took quite a while.
The Network version is better than the US 30th anniversary version. Much much better.
And it looks like it was just discontinued 🙁
Out of stock at Amazon UK, and deleted from Network’s site.Michael SchwartzParticipantJust got mine in New York! :cheer:
Had to tinker with the file-names a bit to get the tracks in the right order to play on my iPod. Will be listening to it during my commute! B)
Well, it took very little prodding and thus I ordered Y1 from Amazon.uk, and a multi-region (or regionless, I don’t know) upconverting DVD player, for not so bad a price.
Just be sure it’s a “multi-system” player that can convert PAL to NTSC (I’m assuming you are in North America). I’ve had one for a few years and it’s definitely been worth it. Too many great things only available in PAL format, like the Network Y1 release, the original BBC Quatermass trilogy, and so on.Michael SchwartzParticipantPoll seems to show majority too far from either coast. Maybe have it in Chicago?
Michael SchwartzParticipantInterestingly, in real life, there is the Life Sciences Research Organization (LSRO.org).
Michael SchwartzParticipantI’d also suggest re-watching Message from Moonbase Alpha after reading Omega/Alpha. A lot of what Sandra says takes on new and even deeper meaning.

MFMA is totally canon! Trust me, everything’s still in place for it.

Sorry, but it just seems weird when Sandra says, “… to Luke and Anna on your new Arkadia …” Everything else fits, but the context of that phrase just seems odd considering that “original” Luke and Anna were slaughtered on Arkadia and “Another Time, Another Place” Luke and Anna are now living on their… Wow, you’re right! Luke and Anna are on their “new” Arkadia!I withdraw my concern. You twisted the S1999 universe into a moebius loop that still gets to the right place! Incredible!
:cheer:
Michael SchwartzParticipantI enjoyed them tremendously. But,
Doesn’t this completely blow Message from Moonbase Alpha out of the timeline? I thought it was considered canon?
Michael SchwartzParticipantMy replacement copy of Omega arrived today. Perfect, as are the copies of all the other books I’ve ordered from Lulu. Excellent service.
