ClaytonParticipant
Glad to hear of The Final Reflection’s impending release and the beginning of the Odysseus Wept process! Will the releases of the Year One Omnibus and The Prisoner: Miss Freedom be held until after Odysseus Wept is released or might one or both come in between the final two Space: 1999 novels?
ClaytonParticipantAh! Powys is back after several days’ absence! With news of the Final Revolution, Year One Omnibus, Miss Freedom, and more right around the corner!
ClaytonParticipantI’m hoping the final projects for this year will include a Lulu version of Eternity Unbound. I’m still missing that one!
ClaytonParticipantThanks for the update, Bill! Some recent postings in the forum left us with an elephant in the room no one was talking about: that the Year One Omnibus would never see the light of day. Now, it seems there is at least some hope. Also excited about the other upcoming Space 1999 releases and the long-awaited public release of The Prisoner: Miss Freedom!
ClaytonParticipantI have found that the red Edit button is invisible in my profile, but it is there and, as you can see, I was able to add an avatar. In your profile, just go to the far right as Bill says and move your mouse over it…it should pop up a label that says “Edit” and just click there to go to the page where you can modify your profile. (This is in IE).
ClaytonParticipantI also recall that the Powys Facebook page promised the Year One compendium this year. Only a few months left! Is it still coming?
ClaytonParticipantHere is another Lulu deal that is pretty good if you are buying 3 or more books:
At Lulu, Read Across America Day is a major holiday, and we’re celebrating with a book sale through March 4! When you buy two books, you get one free with code RAAD.
ClaytonParticipantThanks, Ultra! I noticed the post was showing up blank and couldn’t figure out how to fix it. A weird issue with the board’s code. Anyone who’s interested, Google “Classic Space: 1999–To Everything That Was” and you should find a preview of the comic.
ClaytonParticipantArchaia has announced a follow-up volume to their Space: 1999 graphic novel Aftershock and Awe, which was released earlier this year. The next one, scheduled for August, is Classic Space: 1999–To Everything That Was and features re-written, more sophisticated versions of the many of the Space: 1999 comics that were released in mid to late 1970s from Charlton and the British Look-In magazine. The new versions of the stories are said to help bridge the gap between seasons one and two, sort of like Powys has done with some of their books.
The first graphic novel was excellent, so I’m looking forward to this.
ClaytonParticipantWhen is Eternity Unbound going to be available from Lulu? That’s now the only Powysverse book I’m missing!
Also wouldn’t mind The Prisoner: Miss Freedom to become available… :silly:
ClaytonParticipantArchaia released the HC edition of their digital graphic novel Space: 1999: Aftershock and Awe this week. Just picked it up at my comics shop and looking forward to reading it. The book is solidly put together to withstand multiple re-readings! Classic art by Gray Morrow, remastered from his Charlton Comics adaptation of the (expanded!) Breakaway script. Plus a new story about life on Earth without a moon.

ClaytonParticipantWish I was in London. Landau is one of those actors who started out good and keeps improving with age.
ClaytonParticipantNow that word is spreading about the potential reimagined series Space: 2099, it may be the right time to get the Year One omnibus out and cash in on web searches of the progenitor series. Just a thought! :woohoo:
ClaytonParticipantSlightly off topic, but any chance one of the reissed books will be The Prisoner: Miss Freedom? That is a hard to find book!
