Bill LathamKeymasterAnd it’s not even March yet…
Bill LathamKeymasterPlease remember to preface any postings that contain spoilers with the word SPOILERS in all caps and sufficient white space before your posting to give ample warning to forum readers who don’t want any surprises spoiled.
Bill LathamKeymasterIs it just us or are Procyonstar’s updates on her ongoing saga with the mail delivery folks in her neighborhood every bit as entertaining as the books themselves?
Bill LathamKeymasterThis is always the point we at Powys work so hard for — none of it means anything until people are reading the books!
Okay, just a reminder — preface any spoiler-specific material with lots of white space and a prominent SPOILERS entry!
Enjoy, folks (and quick shout-out to the amazing Ken Scott who does our amazing covers — when we first saw his cover for Shepherd Moon, we thought we’d died and gone to heaven).
Bill LathamKeymasterAnd you really don’t need to go to the library or Internet cafe — it just sounded very Bourne Identity.
😉
Bill LathamKeymasterJust a suggestion — buy a gift card that can be used as a credit card.
Use a local Internet cafe or your local library’s internet connection.
Order the book using the gift card.
Not a whole lot a hacker can do to you under those conditions.
Bill LathamKeymasterI think you’ll find that the quality of the printed book is an exact match to our prior books — paper stock, binding, you name it — lulu does good work.
Regarding the Year One Omnibus, we are currently NOT planning on doing this book through print on demand — we’ll be doing that book the old fashioned way (so when the time comes, people will need to pre-order the book.
One of the real benefits of print on demand is the actual printing of the book can happen at a point close to where you are (although we have no control over where it is printed), so international orders should also happen more quickly.
We looked at a lot of options over the years and this one solved so many issues without sacrificing quality that other than the price change, it was a no-brainer.

The release of Shepherd Moon is almost imminent…
Bill LathamKeymasterPrisoner section added.
Bill LathamKeymasterSee the “Welcome to the Powys Media Forum” thread — this issue has already been addressed.
Bill LathamKeymasterStill in the discussion phase. These kinds of books are the hardest to get out — a lot of work has already been done on it, just too early to release any concrete news.
Bill LathamKeymasterThe shopping cart system should be up in the next week or so. In the meantime, Survival and Eternity Unbound are still available at Amazon.com, as is the Prisoner’s Dilemma, although Eternity Unbound will be going out of print in the next few weeks in all likelihood. If you’re interested in a copy of the Year Two Omnibus, please send an email to powysmedia@prodigy.net and you’ll get instructions on how to order.
