Mateo,
Is it at all possible that the year one omnibus will be out by Christmas. It would make the perfect gift for any Space: 1999ers Christmas list or if this is not possible will pre-orders be made available before Christmas? Just wondering.

It will not be out by Christmas. I am still working on correcting the OCR. There may be two more releases in 2010 though. Android Planet is nearly ready. After I finish my pass through the manuscript (four chapters to go), it just needs a read through by John Mason, who will be doing a final edit and providing a foreword, and another of those wonderful Ken Scott covers. The manuscript has already been approved, though, again, the cover is pending.

Back to Pelorus…

That’s only one Mateo, you said there may be two releases before Christmas, what was the other one?

As a matter of interest, will you be telling us where ‘Android Planet’ is positioned on the Powysverse timeline? Or will it be up to us to work out for ourselves? B)

I’ll tell you. I’m not completely sure, but I ‘d say it’s somewhere after The Infernal Machine, but before Testament of Arkadia. I’ll get more specific at a later date.

As for the other 2010 release…well, you can’t expect me to reveal ALL our surprises! 🙂

Is there any date as to when this is coming out? Thanks.

No firm date. We’re still working on it–and to be honest the latest slate of releases has been keeping us busy:

Spider’s Web just came out in November
Chasing the Cyclops — December
Android Planet — January
Phoenix of Megaron — February
The Whispering Sea — March/April?

All to be released in the next three months! MUF willing!

Ah… The Whispering Sea. I can’t tell you how excited I am about the release of this novel! I know… I know… like Zack, I’m excited about ALL the Powysverse releases! 😉

But I’m excited about this one because… it’s set in Year 2. & JK-M is writing it. Considering how absolutely brilliant The Forsaken was, and how much I loved Futility in Shepherd Moon… well…

I just can’t wait to read a novel set in Year 2 whilst Maya is still a Transmorph :woohoo: (am I the only person to miss Maya being able to change her form? I still feel really sad about it…) 🙁

& then there’s Odysseus Wept… forthcoming at some point… set in Year 3 and written by the very same author. Me VERY excited! LOL! :woohoo: B)

EDIT Apologies Mateo re: the unintentional Spoiler! – glad you spotted it! 🙁 sorry about that. I let slip only because my enthusiasm for The Whispering Sea release got the better of me!

 Just wondering how the year one Omnibus is coming along? Have the copyright problems been sorted out. Or is this book dead in the water or is it just hibernating? If the copyright problems are resolved does this also mean john Mason’s unpublished book can also be published or is there more then just copyright problems involved with this book.
