Yeah, we’re re-releasing The Forsaken via Lulu.com too. This is easily the most requested reprint! I don’t know if we’ll do it as two covers though.

Surely it’ll have a new Ken Scott cover? I’m sure Ken would come up with something TOTALLY awesome, as he did for all of Powys’s original novels this year…

The reissues will have the same covers as before. I am not sure if The Forsaken will have two covers, but it’s entirely doable as far as I can tell.

Shame Ken won’t get to do any new coveres for the re-releases… still, I’ll definately buy another copy of The Forsaken if there’re 2 covers. The copy I have is the one with the planet over MBA. I’d quite like to own the alternate cover (see attached pic below)

Of course… you could always do an exclusive 3rd photo cover… with Paul and Tanya on it (this would be in-keeping with the Bergman themed photo cover for “Survival”)

Did I say tomorrow? I decided to stay at Koffea a little longer and have now finished the entire First Movement (chapters one, two and three).

On to the Second Movement tomorrow. It’s a long way home from here!

Keep up the good work Mateo, but do remember to take some time out for yourself. We don’t want you burning out or anything like that. 🙁

I’m on the last week of a three week winter recess. Got to take advantage of the time off. The holidays interfered a bit, but I still got work done. I try to get three chapters a day done. As I get closer to the end of a book, my pace picks up. Today I got a late start.

    Off to bed!

I keep forgetting it’s Winter for you guys. It is the height of Summer down here, fortunately Melbourne has been spared most of the rain and flooding. I guess Winter is the best time to be stuck inside proof reading a novel or two or three. Have fun! 🙂

At this point I have now finished proofreading:

the first movement: chapters one to three
the second movement: chapters four to six

I must say, the poetic nature of this novel really shines!

Tomorrow I will try to do the entire third movement.

Well, tomorrow came and went, and I didn’t do a damned thing. Well, actually, I did my laundry (glad you logged on for that tidbit?) and I put our first bit of STUFF up for sale (we’ve talked about it so much you probably feel you own one already). I got the approval for the Android Planet cover…not a total loss.

I just got back from dinner (Oiwake) and am going to settle in and watch more of season four of Deep Space Nine (I got the final four season DVD sets for Christmas. Got my new hoodie on and a big bottle of water…

I love Martin Landau’s portrayal of Koenig–it always came off as that of a real leader. But Avery Brooks as Sisko is also very impressive and layered. He really gives a stunning performance over the course of the series. That man should be given more prominent roles!

    1-6-10 final update for today:

I finished proofing the entire third movement (chapters seven through ten) and the interlude.

Good progress made today! I’ll finish proofreading The Forsaken tomorrow.
