So, here was my Sunday (morning):

1. Formatting of Space:1999 The Forsaken reprint — done!
2. Final formatting and proof copy ordering of Phoenix of Megaron — done!
3. Formatting and cover work on (bet you wish you knew what this book was) — almost done!
4. Formatting and some other work on Children of the Gods — wait, that’s this afternoon — not done!

Children of the Gods may be a little late for the convention but it’s definitely coming in for a landing if not by the con then shortly afterward.

Whew!

BTW, wait until you guys see some of the cool covers coming from our miracle worker Mr. Scott…

Thanks for the update Bill, great to know that the wheels are still turning over there. Eagerly awaiting the release of a new book, or two new books, or three, or four… Get the idea? 😛
My timetable has been a little similar to yours of late.

Eagerly awaiting Phoenix of Megaron.
Eagerly awaiting The Whispering Sea.
Eagerly awaiting Year One Omnibus.
Eagerly awaiting Children of the Gods.
Eagerly awaiting “Mystery Book” as long as it isn’t a Prisoner book.

So, based on your timetable I should have something by the end of October. 🙂 Almost time for a happy dance.

SO glad that The Forsaken is finally getting a reprint. I still have my original copy… sealed away in a plastic book bag. Taken out very occasionally and treasted very carefully when I re-read something that Pat Sokol has highlighted/drawn my attention to in her wonderful “Powysverse Compendium”.

Can’t wait to see Ken’s new covers! He’s a genius! Love his SPACE: 1999 stuff! B)

Keep up the good work Mr Latham! We’re rooting for you! 😉 🙂

The full covers for Phoenix of Megaron and for the reissue of The Forsaken are now up on Facebook, on a number of pages including, of course, the Powys Media page.

(a poster has just been published on the Powys Media fb page confirming this!). I can’t see who the author is… but I’m VERY EXCITED about this and all the other novels that Powys are going to be publishing before the end of the year!

LOVE the new Ken Scott covers!

I wonder what timeframe…
BLACK DOVES by Elena Cambio
… is set in? Year 1? between Year 1 & Year 2? Year 3? SO EXCITED I just can’t tell you! I’m thrilled that Powys is alive and well and that something is finally happening in the SPACE: 1999 Powysverse again! 🙂

OK, update:

Phoenix of Megaron showed up at my door today. I will be on sale, exclusively, at the convention and become available on this site afterwards.

The Forsaken showed up at my door as well! The 10 copies I ordered will be on sale at the convention, but I still need to check them for formatting errors before we put them up for sale on Lulu.com.

I’ve got business cards, a poster, a table, a panel hand out, etc. ready for the convention. I’ve still got a ton of work to do , but we’re almost ready.

See you there. Friday night at 9 P.M. Author (meet and greet) afterwards–or at least that’s what I’ve been told! 🙂

At the panel: Elena Cambio, Mateo Latosa, Christopher Penfold, Ken Scott, Nick Tate (strictly in ALPHAbetical order, nothing more). 🙂

Well now that the convention is over…can someone please tell me what the mystery novel was? Yes I’m primed for buying blessed Space:1999 goodness. I’m like one of the Simpson kids…are the books available yet?, are the books available yet?, are the books available yet?, are the books available yet?, are the books available yet?, are the books available yet?, are the books available yet???
:silly: :woohoo: :silly: :woohoo: :silly: :woohoo:

The mystery novel is….

SPACE: 1999 Black Doves
by Elena Cambio
Foreword by Nick Tate

The book isn’t finished, but a chapbook version, containing the opening chapters was released as a limited edition giveaway at the convention at the end of the Powys Media panel. Everyone attending was given a program. Some of these had a little orange sticker on the back. Each sticker-holder was given a free copy of the Black Doves chapbook.

The novel should be out in October.

ALSO RELEASED:

SPACE: 1999 Phoenix of Megaron
by John Rankine
Foreword by John Mason

This novel, rewritten, revised for continuity with the television series and the Powys novels AND with a new ending, was published and launched at the convention. As I printed more copies than were sold, we’ll be selling the remaining copies via this website until they are gone. Then we’ll make it available through Lulu.com. I’ll put up a Paypal button later today.

AND FINALLY

SPACE: 1999 The Forsaken
by John Kenneth Muir
Foreword by Prentis Hancock

This revised novel (we fixed the typos) was re-released at the convention. The formatting is a little off on a couple of pages (the title is on the left-hand page instead of the right-hand page). I have four copies available if anybody wants them. The book will be reformatted to correct for the error and released via Lulu.com this month.
