I finally had the chance to listen to the “Spider’s Web” audio book today and all I can say is “Wow!!!” Rupert Booth did a phenominal job reading and acting out the very exciting story. Even though I had already read the story in “Shepherd Moon,” Rupert’s narration really had me on the edge of my seat. He brought it to life in a way that, frankly, I had not expected.
What is Rupert’s background? Has he done any other audio books? Surely he must have some professional voice background. He was just so good… so natural. And he has a very pleasing voice and accent to listen to. Anyway, great job all around. If anyone reading this is on the fence about getting this audio book, do yourself a favor and get it. It’s that good.

I branched out into voice work several years back, this is the start of what we hope will be a long series of audiobooks. Next up, “The Prisoner’s Dilemma”.
Which is going to take a little longer to record…
Cheers!

P.S. Someone should create a mathematical formula that expresses the idea that “the more you buy, the more (books and audios) we can do”:
+($ ) = +(#)(b+a) ?
November 24, 2010 at 12:50 am #1380Glenn McCrabbParticipantIt is always good to hear of your forthcoming projects, I look forward to them all. 🙂
I am not going to attempt to work out your mathematical theory, I’ll leave that to your accountant, he’s probably more qualified than I am. I’ll just buy each and every 1999 release you put up here.
So stop mucking about and get on with it… 😛
November 24, 2010 at 7:29 am #1381Mateo LatosaKeymasterI finished typing in Android Planet (there was no electronic file) on Monday after a final eight-hour session, six the day before, etc. I am now proofreading the manuscript, then a bunch more steps in the process I won’t bore you with. 🙂
Chapters One through Five are now proofread and corrected. On to Chapter Six!

Got home last night to find a package on the door step. It didn’t look like anything I remembered ordering… I opened it up and discovered 4 Spiders Web Audio Books. :woohoo:
My customers will be very happy and so will I. I was going to listen to it as work today but I forgot to pack it… 🙁 Oh well something for the weekend. Thanks again Powys and Lulu. Keep up the good work.
