Lulu has been extremely challenging of late — apparently, the standard paperback size that we’ve used (and even 6 X 9 books) aren’t being printed internationally like they have in the past — we can’t get our same ISBN numbers and distribution options as we have previously which is REALLY frustrating. But, continuing to try to get a straight answer from lulu.
I’d say steer clear of expedited shipping for international orders at the very least until we hear more.
I’ll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for the update Bill.
My concern is that the books will be just too expensive for many people outside of the US. I’ll buy any Space: 1999 novel pretty much automatically, but even I balked when I saw how much it’s now going to cost if they’re only printed in the US.
Oh well – not much that can be done probably. Looking forward to the books anyway (when I eventually get them!) 😉

I’m keen to read the book but yes the US to UK shipping takes it out of my price range. 🙁
July 11, 2015 at 3:29 pm #3243Simon MorrisParticipantMy two copies arrived here (UK) today.
Look forward to reading the book, although it will probably have to wait until I’ve got some time off work so that I can properly concentrate on it. Well done for getting Babs Bain to pen a foreword… 😉
Alas, I’m going to indulge in some Lulu bashing again, though. The quality of paper seems to have taken a dip. Also the printing of the Space: 1999 logo on the cover (and the Powys logo on the spine) is a bit off – not centred properly) and the cutting of the cover could have been better. The worst turnout of all the Lulu-printed books so far, sadly.

July 16, 2015 at 5:40 am #3246AnonymousGuestThis was a bit of an odd ordering experience. Most of my recent Lulu orders, as far as I could tell, were printed here in Canada, making shipping fast and inexpensive. This one didn’t have the usual options, didn’t allow for shipment tracking, claimed to be coming by UPS, and took considerably longer than other recent orders. But it’s here, so I have a good idea what I’ll be doing this weekend.

Lulu’s latest coupon code is GETIT15, for %15 off.

You owe me $1.00 for each typo you find.
in that case, I won’t mention the one right there on Page 1.

August 22, 2015 at 2:21 pm #3254Gregory CameronParticipantI feel saddened that Powys Media is closing down. 🙁 The last five years has been fantasic. I have been thinking that if some other publishing company could obtain the licence once Powys surrenders it. Three publishing companies come to mind.
1. Fanderson: Two books published in 2003 Earthfall & Earthbound by E.C Tubb.
2.Eagle One Media: One reprint of Alien Seed in 2002 By E.C Tubb.
3. Telos Publishing: Two non Fiction books by Robert E Wood ( One of these has been withdrawn from sale)Regarding Fanderson Books: I don’t like the A5 size paperbacks this wouls have to change to a standard paperback.
Eagle One media: This company took the name Eagle one, I wonder if the person behind this company is a Space 1999 fan.
Telos Publishing Perhaps Robert E Wood might like to write some 1999 novels. Yes if only smobody out there could take over from Powys left off? Is there anybody out there interested in doing this?
