I want to get this next crop of releases out. After the next three books are out, I’ll announce the NEXT crop of books.
I am hoping to get Alien Seed and Rogue Planet released via Powys as well.
The cover art for India and Reveries is the work of photographer Vanessa Champion.
The cover art for the TKU Sampler and Music from the Cafe Mak is the work of photographer Ryan Pham.
The Millennium Apocalypse cover art was done by Jason Morris (I believe)–it is taken from one of the promotional posters for the series.
The cover art for The House Between was done by Kim Breeding.
Great stuff!

My purple sticky tabs, a nice, sharp #2 pencil, and a volume that I and I alone have (thus far) laid eyes upon* will be spending a quiet evening together, so Steve can read a book (hopefully) unencumbered by typographical errors. In a nod towards a philosophical dispute of Zeno’s paradox, however, I will maintain that 0.999999(repeating) is in fact equal to 1.00, and therefore if there remains a typo, I reserve the right to maintain that we have remained within statistical parameters and margins of error. And send you a bottle of white-out so you can fix the errors in your book without having to put little pencil marks in.
-Pat.*There is a certain amount of insidious glee in have the first proof copy of the Compendium. Oh sure, I know others have been ordered for the proper authorities, but (bwwaaahh hahahahaha) I got mine first.
February 5, 2012 at 7:12 pm #2465Lize StassenParticipantAny estimate on when The Forsaken will be available again? I have only recently re-discovered my love for Space1999, and wasn’t around during the previous releases. I have scoured the internet for a copy in the last year, even ordered a used copy through Biblio.com, but unfortunately it got lost in the mail. I have read all the other books in the Powysverse, but feel there is a “hole” that needs to be filled! Please let it be soon!!!
February 5, 2012 at 9:59 pm #2467Mateo LatosaKeymasterFormatting these books can take a fair amount of time. Our first priority is the new titles. But we will be getting The Forsaken, Android Planet (typos corrected), and even Survival (still available, but printed via a traditional printer) out via Lulu after The Whispering Sea is released.
Please be patient just a little longer. And don’t pay hundreds of dollars on eBay!
February 5, 2012 at 10:45 pm #2469Lize StassenParticipantThanks, Mateo. Looking forward to the new titles, too!
February 5, 2012 at 10:58 pm #2471Mateo LatosaKeymasterWe are also looking into re-releasing our audiobooks via another company, perhaps Magellan. All in all 2012, will be a big year for Powys: possibly ten to twelve new books, a few reissues, including an expansion of our catalogue into books of photography and more music releases.
We are also hoping to release a one-man play on CD. More about that later!

February 7, 2012 at 5:08 am #2476ClaytonParticipantSlightly off topic, but any chance one of the reissed books will be The Prisoner: Miss Freedom? That is a hard to find book!
February 9, 2012 at 4:12 am #2477Patrick ZimmermanParticipantI see new book images slotted into the “coming soon” queue…. so close now…
I see new book images slotted into the “coming soon” queue…. so close now…
With respect to the Compendium, I can tell you that Bill has put Zienia’s foreword into its place and must order and review another proof copy to be sure everything is as it should be. The first proof copy didn’t have the acknowledgments, even though they were in the PDF. And the proper number of blank pages have to be inserted so the page numbers aren’t squished next to the fold rather than at the outside of the page. Still, it’s better than picking letters from a case and manually placing them into a printing press :S
