I’ve spotlighted Pat Sokol’s book prominently on the Main Page next to the words JUST RELEASED!: and made it a link to the ordering page. I also copied the book cover to the wall of released books.
In addition, I made all the TKU album covers link to their respective pages on iTunes. The Tecamachalco Underground page now just features the album covers and track listings (and other bits of info). I am still adding the track listings for the various albums.
In the lists of releases below the book covers, I have moved The Powysverse Compendium into the 2011-2012 Releases section. I have also linked the books to their respective ordering pages and the TKU CDs to their respective iTunes pages.
TKU’s albums are available via many digital music retailers, but I chose iTunes as a link because it allows people to listen to one minute thirty second samples rather than just thirty seconds.
I will add links to TKU YouTube music videos in the coming days.
February 27, 2012 at 12:02 am #2566Mateo LatosaKeymasterI’ve removed the Lulu purchasing buttons for the two Space: 1999 audiobooks as Lulu has stopped pressing CDs. We are now looking into another company to release our audiobook CDs.
I linked the COMING SOON book cover images to their respective pages. Phoenix of Megaron doesn’t show up as an item under Space: 1999 Books, but there IS a page for it.
I added track listings and cover art credits to the list of TKU albums and soundtracks. More work still to be done there.
Any news re: the re-release of “Phoenix of Megaron”? It’s almost the end of March…
well, now that it’s well past the point of any April Fool’s jokes, seems like a good time to bring this question up again. Where art thou, o Phoenix of Megaron?April 5, 2012 at 6:58 am #2589Glenn McCrabbParticipantThere may be a delay with the releases, when I last spoke to Mateo, he told me he was in the process of moving house. We might have to be a little understanding for a while.
April 5, 2012 at 10:39 am #2590Mateo LatosaKeymasterThe simple truths are these. Although a quick formatting was done for Phoenix in order to allow us to send a copy to John Mason and John Rankine–he wanted his father to see it as soon as possible, it still needed to be properly formatted for publication.
And, we didn’t want to release the books too close together.
But mostly, we get caught up in and fell behind with our regular jobs and families and all the other crises life throws at you, but we haven’t forgotten about it. We’re just busy.
It is a thrill to have fans clamoring for the next book, of course. And we thank you!! It inspires us, believe me!
Now, if we could get Mr. Peabody to perfect that cloning machine…the Maklone, we’d really pump ’em out!

April 6, 2012 at 12:16 am #2592Mateo LatosaKeymasterSo what do people think about the Powysverse Compendium? Initial thoughts? Anyone finish it yet?
April 6, 2012 at 3:49 am #2593Patrick ZimmermanParticipantthanks for the info. no problems here, just curiosity.
I also think that’s a good idea – spreading out the book releases. No reason to pile them together too closely.
So whenever you’re ready, that’s fine.as for the Compendium… well, I admit I’ve been waiting on PoM before ordering. I was going to get both at once and save a little on postage. I may have to re-think that though.

I’ll attach a screen grab to show what I mean. Hopefully, it’ll be useful to you.

Looking at the HTML, I think there needs to be perhaps an extra break (
) tag in there to get the images to not be shoved off to the right like that.EDIT: well the image is there, but I can’t seem to get it to show up in the message,so you’ll have to cut-n-paste the link, sorry.

yeah, I noticed and mentioned that a year ago or so. Just some oddball Firefox glitch.
I mostly just use Safari these days, so I never really notice it anymore.April 15, 2012 at 2:58 am #2597Mateo LatosaKeymasterPhoenix of Megaron is now has its page listed as a clickable bullet under “Space: 1999 Books” on the left side menu. Another step in the process. The release date is still TBA.
April 15, 2012 at 8:13 am #2598Glenn McCrabbParticipantGreat news Mateo. We’ve all finished the compendium and are now hanging out for the next book… 🙂
April 15, 2012 at 8:58 pm #2599Mateo LatosaKeymasterZack said, “We’ve all finished the compendium…”
Though I seriously doubt that, it is nice to know you are anxious for the next book. The Compendium is a BIG book and it will take time for people to read it. I hope that people will post reviews here once they’ve finished. All authors, after working for months (occasionally years) on a book, are curious to see what the readers’ reactions are.
Give ’em so love!
