Sorry if I’m not supposed to… BUT I’ve decided to resurrect Resurrection :silly:
I’ve read the book – which I love – many times and couldn’t wait for the audio book to come out.
It duly arrived and I listened to it for the first time whilst on holiday this summer. It was incredible.
I have been doing some decorating for the last few days and have listened to it for the second time as I’ve been painting.
Today, as the story transported me once again back up to Alpha, I realised that I’ve never told Mr Latham and Mateo how the audio book made me feel.
To hear Barry Morse reading the words was very special and every time he actually spoke to John as Victor ( hope you understand that ) I confess to getting tingles all over…it’s been happening all morning, that’s what prompted me to put it down in words.
I’m not a huge fan of audio books in general but Resurrection really was something very, very special. The blend of a new sp1999 story with the oiginal and much loved voice made the whole audio book experience into something more than just listening to a story. It was a perfect homage to our favourite characters and to a programme that has meant so much to us all, over so many years.
BL and Mateo – you should be very proud of yourselves !
