We haven’t heard anything in a few weeks about the audio book. Is there any news?
Also, I was wondering when we might have a chance to get the book version of Resurrection on eBay. I found out about the Powys books late in the game, and that is the one book I haven’t found at a reasonable price. So, at the risk of sounding a bit mercenary, I’m anxious to get a copy.
March 25, 2010 at 5:55 am #672William LathamKeymasterNews coming soon…
March 25, 2010 at 9:17 am #676Mateo LatosaKeymasterI can give you a little more info than that. I sent the audio book and all the art files to the printer today. They will give me a revised quote tomorrow or Friday. I am deciding on whether to have a label pressed on or artwork printed directly onto the disc. Once I get the quote, I will choose and give the go ahead.
Once it’s done, we’ll make an announcement and give everyone information on how to purchase it.
Exciting! This will be Powys FIFTH release is less than three months.
Simultaneously, the soundtrack to John Kenneth Muir’s THE HOUSE BETWEEN was sent out on Monday to be ID tagged so that all the MP3s play in the correct order. Once that’s done, we’ll send the new master to CD Baby (who already have the artwork) and they’ll manufacture copies.
Yours truly co-composed the score for the series which was created, written and directed by the author of Space: 1999 The Forsaken, John Kenneth Muir.

I had CDs made for my wedding two years ago, and after a few months some of the labels starting pealing slightly, making them useless. That’s my two cents worth.
Anyway, looking forward to hearing Barry Morse recite Victor’s lines, whenever it is ready. Thanks for the update.
March 25, 2010 at 11:26 pm #684Mateo LatosaKeymasterI got the estimate today–and specifically asked about printed directly onto the discs (as you suggested). It was more expensive, but not that much. I took your advice and gave the go ahead to print the artwork directly on the CDs. Once they receive the master discs, they’ll begin manufacturing them. They should get there today.
We’ll announce when the audiobook becomes available.
March 26, 2010 at 12:01 am #685meredithParticipantI’m absolutely willing to pay extra for the imprinted discs. From a prior bad experience, I hesitate to put discs with press-on labels into my laptop. Much cheaper to pay a little extra for the disc than to fix/replace the laptop dvd!
March 28, 2010 at 7:04 pm #695Mateo LatosaKeymasterWe won’t be charging extra because the artwork is printed on the disc (rather than a paper label).
Here’s the latest update.
We were told that as the entire project is 702 MB, that puts it over the 700 MB limit. We will begin compressing the files to get it down to the right size. Once that is done, we’ll burn a master and resubmit it. Can’t give you anymore information until those things occur.

March 31, 2010 at 10:06 am #715Mateo LatosaKeymasterWell, here’s an update:
We compressed the files–only the music and intro and outro sections NOT the Barry Morse sections–and got the audiobook within the limits. I sent the new master to the printer. They have said the audiobooks will be ready for pickup on Thursday. However, I will most likely pick them up personally on Friday (they are located about an hour away by car).
I will try one out over the weekend. If all is good, we will put up links on the audiobook page for people to PRE-ORDER sometime next week.
We will take pre-orders in the weeks before the actual release at the beginning of May. We printed a limited run of 100. If these sell well and there are additional orders placed, we will make available additional pressings. Everyone’s discs will ship the same day.
Please remember, the Resurrection audiobook is approximately SIX hours long and on a single disc in MP3 format. It will play in computers (we recommend Windows Media Player), newer DVD players, newer car CD players (with MP3 capability). It may not play in older CD players or older DVD players.
We will announce when ordering becomes available. As soon as we can, we’ll put the ordering links up. We’ll announce the ordering links THE MOMENT THEY ARE UP.

April 2, 2010 at 5:10 am #716Mateo LatosaKeymasterPicking them up tomorrow morning!!
April 3, 2010 at 12:45 am #719Mateo LatosaKeymasterI’ve picked up the Resurrection audio book. And played a copy. It looks AWESOME and plays perfectly. The artwork is crisp and clear, the lettering perfect, the recording clear. As soon as we can put up the links for people to pre-order, we will.
The discs won’t ship until May, but we’ll be taking orders throughout April.
The audiobook comes with a four-panel, full-color insert and tray card. The artwork is printed on the disc (no paper label) and comes in a celophane wrapped CD jewel case.
REMEMBER–This is an MP3 DISC! It will play on computers (we recommend Windows Media Player), MP3 players, newer model CD and DVD players. It may NOT play on older model CD and DVD players.
Seriously, it looks AWESOME!!
Thanks to everyone who helped make this project a reality: Barry Morse, William Latham, Anthony Wynn, Robert Wood, Colin Higna. Cesar Gallegos, Joe Tantillo, Phil Merkel, Robert Gendler, David Stoner and everyone at Silva Screen.
April 3, 2010 at 12:56 am #720Ally DaviesParticipantWell, you’ve had a FUN day haven’t you
Can’t wait for Resurrection – hoping to get it by the end of May to take away on holiday with me !
April 4, 2010 at 10:03 am #727Mateo LatosaKeymasterThough it is not yet up for pre-order just yet, I have set a FIRM release date of MAY 7th, 2010. As people pre-order, I wil begin packaging their orders. On May 7th, I will ship ALL the pre-orders. After that, I will ship orders every Friday (our usual routine).
April 4, 2010 at 8:17 pm #728Albert LeonParticipantVery cool! Looking forward to it!
