Just wanted to drop a quick entry in here on chronology of books — what, if anything, do you need to read before Omega?

Resurrection
The Forsaken
Survival
Shepherd Moon
Born for Adversity

Are you really surprised?

For what it’s worth, if and when you order books, read ’em in that order if you want to get the full experience of Omega. Oh, yeah, you should probably watch Year One again.

After all this time, this book’s finally coming out soon!

Thank you for this chronology! I was wondering how I was going to figure out which books to read first. And the season 1 DVD set has gotten a serious workout at my house since I got it in December. 🙂

Another handy site to look at in preparation for Omega is Mr Latham’s own website, where (over 3 years ago, it has to be said….) he started a little ‘diary’ while developing the novel:

Personally, I found it interesting to see some of the preparation and thought processes!

I’m just so happy someone referred to something I’m doing as potentially radical!

Some of my fondest memories of working on the whole Omega project are the phone calls Mateo and I would have where we couldn’t remember where we’d left off and we’d have to retrace our steps. It got to the point where we started having to take notes (which is dangerous when you’re talking on the phone during the commute home). That process went on for months.

Clock’s ticking down, folks. It’s coming…
