OT: Breakaway Deleted Audio Scenes

Two more audio clips just went up on You Tube today.

Martin Willey hasn’t had a chance to transcribe them at the Catacombs yet. In reading the others I notice he leaves out some of the behind-the-scenes comments and bloopers but includes others.

More material added to what amounts to a Breakaway behind-the-scenes documentary.

I just got word from Martin Willey that there are Year 2 episode soundtracks as well! There is some preliminary talk about some day possibly releasing the material on some format. Martin says the original audio is of high quality- like really being there on the set. The You Tube copies are significantly reduced in quality.

I am loving these snippets. It gives hope that one day that first cut that was sent to New York will surface in an attic or storeroom somewhere and we can see the original cut of this. Thanks again for posting these, they are amazing. 🙂

Must admit, being a HUGE fan of all that’s good about Year 2 (I’m only too aware of it’s flaws – but that doesn’t stop me loving it!) I’m dying to hear the outakes and omited scenes from the second season. But it has to be said… these lost audio finds are astonishing! What a brilliant year it’s been for ’99 fans everywhere what with several brilliant, original novels being released by Powys (ALPHA & OMEGA are masterpieces!They’re everything I hoped they’d be… and so much more!), the recent Blu Ray releases both here in the UK and the US and now these lost audio’s… I’m a very happy fan indeed at the moment!

Now if only Powys could get “Android Planet” out in time for me to get it before Christmas… :kiss: 😉

We can give them until Three Kings Day according to the Julian calendar. Then, bring out the heavy artillery. Until then, we’ll have to be satisfied with a peek into BL’s brilliant creative mind.

Ok – I know this is a bit ‘off topic’ as Mateo would say but I’m just following on – I think 2010 has been a wonderful year for all Space 1999 fans and we have everyone at Powys to thank for that…

Anything else they give us before Christmas will be just the ‘icing on the christmas cake’ as far as I’m concerned 😆

Now – back to topic – Wow – I love hearing the ‘behind the scenes’ chat on the audio tracks. It’s like going back in time and actually being there with them as they run through their scenes. Its a unique insight and it’s so exciting !!

I hope they just keep coming…and coming…and coming… :laugh:
