Just got back from London and guess what was waiting for me… a package from Lulu !!

Do you know what was in the package…you’ve guessed it… OMEGA 😆

It’s a thing of beauty to be sure…seriously the artwork on the cover is excellent.

It’s here…next to me as I write and it’s calling to me already…read me..read me…and I’m itching to open it and turn to that first page…BUT… a part of me wants to make the feeling last as long as possible…you know…prolong the sense of anticipation…savour every moment…because once I’ve started reading I won’t be able to stop and then…it will be over…

This is so exciting…thank you all for making this happen.

Yes, my two copies also arrived today as well and as Ally says, the cover is excellent – Ken Scott’s best yet I would have said.

As I have to read books between bouts of illness sometimes I hit a slow patch; I haven’t quite finished BFA yet so I’m not sure when I’ll be starting Omega, but I’m certainly looking forward to it.

    🙂

Thanks for letting us know you got the books. That was quick!

I get paid tomorrow and so have to wait to order a copy! In the old days, I’d have gone to the printer and brought back 1000 boxed copies. Then again, I’d have to spend the next few weeks SHIPPING orders for the new books. That part I DON’T miss!

My copy shipped Tuesday – I watched as the postman stuffed bills and a newspaper into the mailbox today, and felt blue. Maaaybe tomorrow…

Just got my copy, today. I’m finishing up Born For Adversity tonight and starting on Omega, tomorrow.

Definitely looking forward to the next Year Three entry in the Space:1999 saga.

    The Future Is Definitely Fantastic!

I ordered 2 copies of Omega two weeks ago when the novel availability was first announced – unfortunately I knew they’d arrive while I was out on vacation last week – but it would be a nice return home gift.

I got my week’s worth of mail today, and sure enough, the package from lulu was there.

I opened the box – and there were my 2 books. But then noticed the covers didn’t match…..

    I got 1 copy of Omega…..

:woohoo: and 1 copy of Alpha: the spectacular sequel to Omega !!!! :woohoo:

I haven’t checked any of the other Omega threads, but did anyone else get the sequel book by accident??

Would this count as lulu.com lending a hand?

As Homer Simpson might say: Stupid MUFs…

    Too funny.

Well THAT’S a relief! We kept that secret for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. We wanted to make this an event to remember. We imagined the reader getting to the end of Omega and wondering, how is the author going to resolve all this with so few pages left?

Then, a cliffhanger! How many months until the sequel??

Then, a handy-dandy URL after the last page. And image. Then an ordering page, then: SURPRISE! The sequel book is out NOW!

We never counted on Lulu just accidentally sending someone both books! 😛 It’s funny, and HEY, the word had to get out sometime (we dropped enough “hand” hints in our posts).

    Enjoy the books!

Oh yeah, and did you notice Christopher Penfold ALSO wrote the Afterword to ALPHA? What more could you ask for?

    Mateo
