The first thing the mysterious unknown force says to Koenig and Bergman is “Who are you?” which can be interpreted many ways.
The second thing it says–and of most importance to the Powysverse–is “Come.”
Just testing to see if this works. I don’t know if this topic is still being read. here goes: maybe it was God and the question was to ask themselves who they were, for them to explore who they were themselves and find out themselves. I’m sure there are instances of God/Jesus asking questions in the Bible?
