Well, I just got my copy of ALPHA! I haven’t read it, yet. I’m only halfway through OMEGA. I have a hunch though that it will be just as exciting as the previous novels.
2010 AD is definitely the year for Space:1999 and all of its fantastic qualities!

March 16, 2010 at 6:44 am #576Bill LathamKeymasterOkay, happy early April Fools Day from all of us at Powys Media.
In the immortal words of Pat, if you’ve read Omega….
TALK TO THE HAND!
And don’t forget to click it!

I got mine last week – and I didn’t even order it! :blink:I need to catch up – I even haven’t had a chance to read Born for Adversity yet.
March 16, 2010 at 10:53 am #579Mark SpaldingParticipant:cheer: What an amazing surprise!!! I’m not even a quarter through OMEGA and was savoring it, not in a hurry to finish because I thought it would be a while before any more novels were out. This is soooooo cool!!!!
Don’t laugh at me, but I have to ask Mateo if that hand is embedded in a lunar sand dune on the cover of the FORSAKEN. I think I see it. Now don’t tell me you had this surprise planned out all those years ago!
March 16, 2010 at 11:33 am #580Mateo LatosaKeymasterI am glad you are excited about Alpha. We actually published both books on the same day. However, the only way to find out about Alpha was to follow the URL printed at the back of Omega. We’ll be putting up a regular book page soon, now that the cat’s out of the bag.
Now you’ve got ME checking the cover of The Forsaken! If there’s a hand on that image, I will be shocked! Nevertheless… We’ve still got some surprises in store for you, don’t worry. π
The Alphan saga continues…
March 16, 2010 at 6:34 pm #581Ally DaviesParticipantWell …now that the secret of the βHANDβ has been revealed and ALPHA has been discovered weβd like to say a great big thanks to Mateo and BL and everyone at Powys for the way in which they handled the secret of the βHANDβ !
Also thanks for the handy hint in the URL posting. That really played a hand in our solving the puzzle.
On the one hand itβs great that the secret is out and we are now able to talk openly about ALPHA…but on the other hand it was fun waiting for others to find out about the new book.
We have to hand it to you guys…you did a great job with both OMEGA and ALPHA… hand on heart we loved the books.
We are more than happy to leave the fate of our favourite Alphans in your safe hands and look forward to what you have planned next.
So everybody, let’s give a great big hand to Mateo, Bill and everybody else at Powys π
Thanks for your efforts. You rock our world.

March 16, 2010 at 6:39 pm #582Mateo LatosaKeymasterYou’re welcome. Thanks for being so patient. And I promise, no more “hand” puns.
π
March 17, 2010 at 2:48 am #583William LathamKeymasterI’m gonna miss the puns…
To PatS and Procyonstar — you rock our world right back. It’s all just print on paper until readers bring it to life and you’re certainly doing that.
Thanks to you both.

Didn’t get to use hands down, handsome, manhandle, underhanded, hands out of the cookie jar, Hand and Chewie, I wanna hold your… π
March 17, 2010 at 5:02 am #584AnonymousGuestYou sneaky so-and-sos.
Missed the clues, but thanks to this forum, I’ve ordered Alpha. Looking forward to seeing what comes next.
March 19, 2010 at 3:19 pm #610Howard DrabekParticipantJust got Born for Adversity and Omega. I’ve already read them both. How do I order ALPHA? I don’t see a buy link to LULU!
March 19, 2010 at 3:32 pm #612Howard DrabekParticipantOkay. I get the joke. I forgot to scroll down for the link. Got the order in!
March 20, 2010 at 12:04 am #620Scott LindvallParticipantJeez, do I feel like an ignoramus. I kept thinking that all this talk of a new book called “Alpha” was just an elaborate hoax that everyone seemed to be in on but me. But the discussion just kept going. I finally figured out that “Alpha” is a real book this morning and got it ordered. I guess the joke was on me. I have not started “Omega” yet, so I’ll be able to read both together.
Excellent idea, and a great way to reward those smart people who figured it out early on. How you managed to keep this secret from everyone for so long is a real mystery. But a big bravo to Mr. Latham and Mr. Latosa. I can’t wait to see what other surprises are up your sleeves.
March 20, 2010 at 12:42 pm #631Kevin GoodmanParticipantOkay guys, I’ve tried the link at the back of “Omega” a number of times, and sad to say, not got anywhere!
Please, can you post the link on the forum? I’d like to order a copy, but until I can get there, no sale sadly!
It’d be handy folks…sorry, bad pun!Kevin :woohoo:

This is the link for ALPHA. Then click on the hand picture.
March 20, 2010 at 1:06 pm #633Mateo LatosaKeymasterWe’ll be putting up a Lulu link on the Alpha page soon.
Speaking of which: if you go to the HOME page and scroll down, you’ll see all the Space: 1999 and Prisoner book covers including Alpha.
If you click on Alpha, it will take you to the Alpha page (but there is not Lulu link there yet).
To find the Lulu link, follow the instructions in the previous post. The reason you may be having trouble is that the first 50 books or so went out with the wrong URL by mistake.
