Just sent off what is hopefully the final proof copy to the author for a quick looksee. Wouldn’t you know it? We forgot to do an About the Author section until the eleventh hour. Assuming all goes well, we’ll hopefully be ordering our last two physical proof copies tomorrow night. That means we’d likely release the book sometime next week. Exciting!

I’m so excited for Pat. When we first reached out to her (and it was already a LONG time ago), we didn’t know if she’d say yes or no. When she agreed to do it, I don’t know what our expectations even were, but if we had any, she blew past them a long time ago.

Mateo’s been trying to talk me into going to a certain convention this September. I may have to go to get a copy of Pat’s book signed by some luminaries.

I personally can’t wait to have a copy signed by…Pat!

PowysCon East…coming soon. Come meet Pat Sokol! Get yer book signed!

Hopefully have the Compendium out in about a week, folks.

We return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Quick shout out — I thought “Chronicle” was really awesome — not a fun super-hero movie necessarily but certainly a good superhero movie and in my top ten super hero movies list (then again, so is KickAss).

And now, right here on our shoo, we bring to you ZACK, and his world famous Happy Dance.

    Take it away, Zack!

(then, the entire female population of Moonbase Alpha will run out on stage and shout out their brassier sizes)

    Sokolian goodness?

Thanks for your most most kind words. I can honestly say it was an unreal experience to be entrusted with this book. I tried to provide a good mix of bare facts, literary analysis, and reasons to smile and read another page.

It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without everybody on the Powys team for vision, understanding, tenacity, passion and affection for what could have been, or maybe what was meant to be but never had the chance. If it is possible to go back in time and realign missteps without starting the journey over, Powys has done it with style, consistency, and comprehension of what has kept us all enthralled for 35 years.
