When you receive your Resurrection audio book, that evening, make a toast to Barry Morse and drink a shot of whatever suits you: from tequila to tea.
What should we say? What should the toast be?
In Chicano circles it would be, “Que viva Barry Morse!” To which everyone in earshot would reply with glasses raised high, “QUE VIVA!”
We should suggest toasts in this thread, then make a new poll to choose the most popular. Then we can all raise a glass to the one and only, even if we all do it at different times on different dates.

I will probably do the English translation of “Que Viva!” with “Long live Barry Morse!” (in our hearts) for his generosity and interest in the fans of Space:1999.
According to my count of convention appearances (checking the Catacombs website), Barry attended more Space:1999 conventions and probably had more involvement with its fans than any other cast member.
Keeping it Space 1999 I would have to go with Barry’s words taken from his [i]Afterword[/i] from [u]Destination Moonbase Alpha[/u] and adapted from the episode Black Sun.

Now that Resurrection is starting to arrive with us all…are we planning to follow through with Mateo’s suggestion of ‘A Toast to Barry Morse’ ?
It would have more meaning if we could plan it for one particular day…don’t you think…
A sort of Space 1999 ‘connection’ around the world !
