So, there’s a new Phoenix button. Will it work? Only time will tell!
Lulu has been entirely unhelpful on this. I created a brand new project and just reimported everything and did not change the ISBN number (let them worry about it).
Very frustrating. Hopefully it will work but if it doesn’t, then we’re going to have to start looking elsewhere for our print on demand.
Here on the East Coast of the good old US of A power is creeping back and New York City is like a zombie apocalypse without the zombies (at least last time I checked the local news). The subways may never be the same (but they finally got that good cleaning everyone always wishes for in the summer). I lost power for about 4 hours — I was very lucky. 97% of my town lost power for longer periods of time.
Putting final polishes on Children of the Gods — it’ll get out one of these days (you know how kids can be).
Well, please let us know if the Phoenix button works. I tested in IE and Firefox not logged into lulu.com and seemed okay after I played with the “open in new window” link.
Regards,
BL
YES!!
looks successful.
I tried it in on my Mac using both Safari and Firefox, and both browsers popped a ‘PoM fixed’ into the shopping cart.there was much rejoicing. yeah!
November 3, 2012 at 7:06 pm #2881Scott LindvallParticipantSeems to be working. I already have my convention copy that Mateo mailed out, but many others will be thrilled.
Bill, glad you survived Sandy’s wrath. I’ve accounted for everyone I care about in that part of the country, and everyone seems more or less okay. Living in Florida, I’ve been through a couple of hurricanes myself, but Sandy seemed particularly vicious for a fairly weak storm. I work in insurance and the damage is quite widespread.
Thanks for working so hard on the Lulu problem.
November 3, 2012 at 9:48 pm #2882Todd BennettParticipantIt worked for me, too.
I took the opportunity of ordering the Compendium (2 copies — 1 to read, one for the “collection) and ordered another copy of Resurrection, since I only have 1 copy.
The Lulu coupon code NOVBOOKS12 got me 20% off my order, which was nice — essentially, I got one book free.
Looking forward to reading Phoenix – I already have one of the “convention” copies, so the Lulu copy will be for reading.
November 3, 2012 at 10:25 pm #2883Mateo LatosaKeymasterThe new version of Phoenix of Megaron is merely “spectacular”. It is no longer “spactacular”, like the convention version. 🙂 In case anyone was wondering!
Thanks to Steve for telling us and Ken for re-doing the cover to fix it.
November 4, 2012 at 1:04 am #2885Todd BennettParticipantOh, so it’s a valuable collectible, like stamps with an upside-down airplane?
😉
November 4, 2012 at 1:41 pm #2886matt pearsonParticipantOrdering link worked for me. B)
Sadly the 20% code would not work (maybe not valid in the UK ?). Best I could find was QUICKSIX for 6% off.

I think it’s time to get out my dancing shoes. With new books on the way from Powys and my Sorella Lamp being delivered today (hopefully) I will have a very Spacey Christmas this year… B)
