Found this on YouTube this evening & just had to share it with everyone!
I’ve seen the Year 2 “Here are a few scenes from next week’s exciting episode of SPACE: 1999” promo’s (I own all of them on various DVD box sets I’ve sourced from around the globe purely for their unique Extra Features content) but this one, with Catherine Schell as Maya, introducing the character and her abilities, as well as the 2nd unique US TV Station promo for “The Metamorph”, to my knowledge, no longer exist in broadcast quality (if at all!), except in the form of this poor (but very watchable) quality YouTube clip that was clearly uploaded from a 70’s VHS tape in the US!
As a fan of both [b]SPACE: 1999 [/b]Year 2 & Catherine Schell, I was thrilled to bits when I saw this for the first time tonight! Enjoy! B)
This is pretty cool. I remember getting very excited about the special sneak preview of season 2 that aired in the summer of 1976 in Milwaukee on channel 18. This brought back those memories. Thanks!!!
Love YouTube. They have a lot of 1999 clips out there, including interviews with the cast, including Catherine, Martin, and Barbara taken from other media. Much of it is fan created; talented bunch we have in 1999 fandom.
Is there any news on when the new books will be comiing out, “Whispering Sea”, Year 1 Omnibus, and “Phoenix Of Megaron”? 🙂

As for new books kerryirs, as far as I know, William Latham is currently working on “Children of The Gods” for release later this year, and editing/proof reading is in progress on “The Whispering Sea” & “Phoenix of Megaron”.
I have finished reading “Android Planet” but need to find a spare evening to sit down and send typo’s/corrections for the second half of the book to Mateo (who, last I heard, is in charge of getting the Year 1 Omnibus ready for release. I suspect this project is on the back burner as Mateo is heavily involved with the TKU/music score side of things).
None of this is official of course, just what I’ve heard.
Hopefully, we’ll see at least 3 new [b]SPACE: 1999 [/b]novels released by Powys before the end of the year. We’ll all just have to be patient & save up so that we’re ready to buy them from Lulu as soon as they come out 😉
