Wish I was in London. Landau is one of those actors who started out good and keeps improving with age.
A really enjoyable evening. Landau spoke at length about his long career.
There was some discussion of Space : 1999. He obviously remains proud of the first season and mentioned the scene between him and Barry Morse in Black Sun as a highlight.
He was less praiseworthy of season two. He felt that the character of Maya did not really work and he did not care for the new producer. He also regretted the fact that the show was now being done on a smaller scale, for example the smaller sets.
He said he would have come back for the third season had it gone back more to the original format.
