Just thought I’d announce it here first. Cesar Gallegos and I (Mateo) are now officially the composers for season two of the web-series, Millennium Apocalypse, which follows on from the events of Chris Carter’s television series, Millennium, which starred Lance Henriksen.
July 11, 2011 at 3:58 pm #2211Scott LindvallParticipantAwesome news, Mateo!! Congrats!! Any idea when this will be available?
July 11, 2011 at 10:01 pm #2212Mateo LatosaKeymasterI think the first episode is scheduled for airing on September 2nd. The director JUST let us know last night, so I don’t have a lot of information at the moment.
The series is done as a set of nine episodes that tell one story. At the end of the season, the episodes are edited together to form a single movie-length film.
The first season (film) is available on Amazon both as a DVD release and a digital download/digital rental.

July 18, 2011 at 6:33 pm #2216Mateo LatosaKeymasterI met Lance Henriksen on Saturday (the 16th), and we had a chance to speak about Millennium Apocalypse. I try not to get star-struck, but it was still amazing to me to hear him congratulate me on getting the job of composer for Millennium. He shook my hand and wished us success.
I thought, there’s no better way to have started this project. On the same day, I met with Joseph Maddrey, who gave me a manuscript I will be editing: a book about George Romero, the man and his films. Very exciting!
Don’t worry, I am working on Phoenix of Megaron–the next book due out, then Pat Sokol’s book, then John Muir’s new 1999 novel.
July 19, 2011 at 10:08 am #2217Mateo LatosaKeymasterWe have now received episodes 1 through 6 of the series and will have our first scoring session (to discuss where cues are needed, the exact timings, and to divvy up the composing tasks.
There is now an official website for information about the series. Here is the URL. There is also a facebook page.

I shall be buying all three… but of the three, I have to admit to being desperately excited about the forthcoming release of “The Whispering Sea” purely because I’m such a MASSIVE Year 2 fan & because I adore Maya & Tony 🙂 and also because…
I’ll finally get to see the events that cause Maya & Tony to fall for one another & Maya settling in on Alpha after “The Metamorph”! A KEY novel this & not to be missed imho!
September 12, 2011 at 10:12 pm #2239Patrick ZimmermanParticipantjust did a spot check on the website this morning, and noticed that the first 2 episodes of Season 2 are now out there and online ready for viewing. Looks like it went live on August 31?
Today has just become Millennium Apocalypse day for me – I’ll be watching all of Season 1 and then the first 2 of season 2. I’m taking the day off work today as a “sick day”, so this will work out nicely. -
